I never thought I’d be quoting Colmes, but here, the “old fashioned liberal” showed up concerning when a black says something that a conservative could agree with and then gets called an “Uncle Tom” by almost every other Liberal or Progressive.
I’d like to build on what you just said and also what I said earlier which is we’ll have true equality in this country when someone like Don Lemon or any other person of color can make a statement that doesn’t conform with what the so-called majority believes without being called names, without being called an Uncle Tom, and that we can have a diversity of opinion among people of color without that kind of name-calling going on.

Democrat (or Black) Plantation? You bet! As a Conservative, Progressives call me all kinds of names, be they white, black, red, brown, or purple with green polka-dots. But again, I’m white. Don Lemon, if you don’t know (or picked up from the quote) is Black. An uber-lib to boot. Again, Political Correctness is nothing more than Cultural Marxism – and Don Lemon has found out the hard way that if you vary from the Cultural Heterodoxy that intersects Progressivism and Blackism (is that really a word), you are no better than Clarence Thomas. Or Walter E. Williams. Or Thomas Sowell. Or David Webb. Or Star Parker. Or a whole lot of just plain people speaking just plain truth.
“without being called an Uncle Tom” sounds a whole lot like “content of their character”.
