Another Day, yet another example of “non-partisan experts” behaving badly at the IRS

IRSAs if the TEA Party targeting wasn’t enough, NOW we find out that the IRS decided to “pull an Illinois”.  Remember back in 2007 when Joe “the Plumber” Wurzelbacher seriously questioned candidate Obama’s Socialist idea of that wealth redistribution was such a great economic policy (“I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.”)?  Yeah, what happened right afterwards has been a hallmark of the Obama Administrations minions (either by or sans direct orders) – State of Illinois bureaucrats started to illegally mine their  State’s databases  to dig up dirt on Joe.

Aw, those good old days, those WONDERFUL memories brought to us by “The Chicago Way” devotees – and now refreshed by our friends at the IRS!  Decided to run as a political candidate?  Decided to donate some Big $$ to said candidate(s)?  Your friends at the IRS decided to do a wee bit of digging on your behalf:

A top Republican senator is pressing Attorney General Eric Holder for answers following allegations by a government watchdog that the IRS may have improperly accessed the tax records of a political donor or candidatebut the Justice Department declined to prosecute the case.

Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, questioned whether that DOJ decision was “politically motivated.”

Politically motivated?  Pshaw, you say!  Just think of it this way: your Government is “vetting you” to see if you are worthy in their eyes – just like the mullahs do in Iran, Chavez did in Venezuela (and as Obama might say “Peace Be Upon Him”), or any generic Banana Republic (other than those stocked with clothes and cash registers located in malls).

The original allegation was one of several in a letter from J. Russell George, the inspector general who oversees the IRS, to Grassley. For the first time, George revealed claims that IRS officials targeted political candidates for audits, and that, separately, donor or candidate tax information was improperly accessed or disclosed.  To date, the IRS scandal has focused mainly on the agency’s practice of targeting conservative groups for additional scrutiny as they applied for nonprofit status.

And for the first time, the letter also raised questions about the Justice Department’s role in allegations of IRS misconduct.  In one case, George said in his letter, “we presented evidence of a willful unauthorized access to the Department of Justice, but the case was declined for prosecution.”

So which is it, Progressives?  Are we supposed to just accept what you have said for a century – “Big Government is GREAT for you as we’ll staff it solely with top-notch, non-partisan experts that ONLY have YOUR best interest in mind all the time”?  Or should we believe our lying eyes that are telling us “Now that Progressives have grown limited Government to BIGGER Government – we’re gonna use all those resources you paid for with your tax money to keep you out”!

And with the old joke of “he lies and you swear to it”, we see that Eric Holder’s Department of Justice has brushed it over a la “move along…nothing to see here ‘CAUSE WE SAY SO (or we’ll make a Zimmerman out of you)!”

And our Civil Masters civil servants response?

Reached for comment, a Justice Department spokesman said: “We have received the letter and are reviewing it.”

Lawlessness – Brought to you once again by Obama and Friends. This makes me feel so much more at ease.  You?  If it does, always remember:

The Bigger the Government, the smaller the citizen
