Decisions have consequences – even on Mother’s Day

We just returned from a dinner out – courtesy of the Youngest who had asked if he could take TMEW out for Mother’s Day – a very pleasant time and not a single word about blogging or politics out of me (er, maybe that was the reason for “a very pleasant time”?).  Yet, for at least one, it was not:

Pat Smith, the mother of one of the victims of the Benghazi consulate attacks, went on the Huckabee show Saturday to deliver a message to Hillary Clinton.

“I want to wish Hillary a happy Mother’s Day,” she said. “She has her child. I don’t have mine because of her.

Huckabee asked Smith if she was somewhat comforted by the congressional hearings about the attacks last week.

“Absolutely not,” she said. “I am still waiting to answers to just about everything.”

Sour grapes (to the max)?  Injecting politics for a partisan purpose?  I don’t believe so.  For those of The Progressive mantra, the personal is political; the political is personal, they only have themselves to blame (i.e., those that live by the sword….).  For the sake of a political purpose, a CYA moment, Ms. Smith lost her son.

Yeah, a Progressive Administrative state that is lead by, guided by and staffed by nothing but non-partisans Smart People that value people – especially their own.

Others?  Not so much, evidently.
