America has always been known as the land of opportunity – you have an idea, you have the drive, you start your own and go for that brass ring. Unlike most, starting a new biz is not out of the ordinary and in fact, has been well accepted. I have worked for several startups – unfortunately, not all end up with that brass ring. But they sure were fun and exciting – right up until the doors closed. They ahve also been the lifeblood of our economy – and none of these charts are encouraging at all (or the others at the link)
This should be sobering material. I will say this – with the massive amount of regulations and laws acting like restricter plates in a NASCAR race car, no wonder we’re stuck in neutral. I’ll tell you, as much as I would love to try a start up again, I wonder if Government has settled on “Failure to Launch” for all?
And now, this IS the Obama economy – he can no longer blame this on Bush.
