Chris Matthews Scorned

Used. Betrayed. Soiled. Gone are the days of the tingle, hello bitterness

From the yawning, gapped mug with wispy and unkempt hair typically found on an early morning slattern, which is a fitting comparison, comes the following line from a long soiled but disheartened receiver of O, who now seems to feel shame and no longer respected.  The ever demur and reticent Chris Matthews on MSNBC last night courtesy of Politico:

President Obama “obviously likes giving speeches more than he does running the executive branch,” Chris Matthews said tonight.  …

“What part of the presidency does Obama like? He doesn’t like dealing with other politicians — that means his own cabinet, that means members of the congress, either party. He doesn’t particularly like the press…. He likes to write the speeches, likes to rewrite what Favreau and the others wrote for the first draft,” Matthews said.

Is it me or is Chris really curious to find out what Obama likes?

“So what part does he like? He likes going on the road, campaigning, visiting businesses like he does every couple days somewhere in Ohio or somewhere,” …

“But what part does he like? He doesn’t like lobbying for the bills he cares about. He doesn’t like selling to the press. He doesn’t like giving orders or giving somebody the power to give orders. He doesn’t seem to like being an executive.”

Nope it’s not just me. Chris is searching for the objects of Obama’s desire.

But that was last night.  Something must have changed since.  Chris must have awoke with the feeling of a used trollop realizing that he fell for the illusory liquid of flattery before a darkened romance and found himself disquieted.   The once beguiling, alluring tingle creeping up his leg, now rings bitter with the realization that the wanton sycophantic pederasty was unrequited adoration.  Here he is this morning on Morning Joe:

He does run the IRS. He runs the Treasury Department. He runs the United States government, and he is accountable for it, and this is nonsensical.

Gone are the days of leg tingle; hail the bitter days of a liberal scorned.  I wonder how long it will last…
