"Shameful" there, 'Bam? Obama just got Alinsky'd on gun control and is he mad! - Granite Grok

“Shameful” there, ‘Bam? Obama just got Alinsky’d on gun control and is he mad!

What’s good for the gander should be good for the goose – only this time, it seems that the goose has had its feathers all in a dither, as the US Senate voted against the gun control bill, the Manchin/Toomey bill, went down 54-46.  Diane Feinstein’s new and expanded ban on so-called “assault weapons” (hey, I got an “assault fork” too!) and high standard-capacity magazines also was a blank at an even worse 40-60.  And Our Imperial King Obama is royally ticked off:

“All in all, this was a pretty shameful day for Washington,” Obama said, accusing the gun lobby of lying about the bill.

Aw, lying?  Really?  Hmm, this bring back any memories about truthtelling, oh LightBringer?

The Republicans plan, Obama says, boils down to this: ‘Dirtier air, dirtier water, less people with health insurance.’

I would consider this a lie as well; fear-mongering by him.  After all, Saul Alinsky dedicated his Rules for Radicals to the Father of Lies, Lucifer, and Obama is nothing if not a disciple of Alinsky.  But what is permissible to the King can hardly be extended to the serfs, can it?

All of the gun controllers are now blaming their failure on the NRA and the gun manufacturers for the failure of this legislation to pass (Community Organizer politics always demands a scapegoat to cover one’s lackings).  Once again, we see the projection of Democrats of their outlook on life onto everyone else – it HAS to be the mean-spirited special interests that stops us from “progressing forward”.  Democrats are only the politics of the special interest groups and a gaggle of Democrat dubbed “identity groups.  Nothing is said that the real reason is that these Senators who voted to kill the bill had constituents that were telling them to do that, that voted them into office said “don’t do this”.  But Obama decided to excoriate them anyways (even as these measures have been shown to have not been able to stop these mass attacks):

A few minutes ago, a minority in the United States Senate, decided it wasn’t worth it. They blocked commonsense gun reform even while these families looked on from the Senate gallery.

I’m not a member of the NRA – but I am a believer that the simple plain words “shall not be infringed” mean exactly that.  Obama with his budgets has shown to be incapable of doing basic math, show it again.  No, President Hissy Fit, a “minority” did not stop the bill in the Senate – a majority of Senators did.  They, in turn, listened to the past, present, and future  voices of the voters in their districts.  Your beef, President Blameless, is not a handful of politicians that refused to be cowered but by a self-forming, self-interested interest voluntary group of law-abiding citizens that just “respected” you as much as you have respected them for the past 5 years – which is to say, not at all. They also decided that there is a higher power than you in American politics (and I know you care not to actually believe his, even with your recurring lip service to the same) – the US Constitution in its entirety.  They refused to be called or looked on as being  criminals just on your say so – and they supported the Founding Fathers who made sure that our natural rights would not become merely a gift granted by Government when it is convenient to do so (and recalled when not).  This wasn’t the small group to scapegoat that you usually pick on and freeze in place – they just weren’t scared of you.  After all, and after years of being Alinsky’d, that dog don’t hunt anymore.

They refused your definition of “common sense” that turned a Constitutional Right into a mere privilege granted by government.  They refused to be emotionally blackmailed.  Instead, while many Senators may have well looked to the politics (and their re-elections), there is a small (but growing) group to whom fealty to the Constitution (just as their Oath of Office calls for) rises well above the demagoguing of emotion.

You see, sir, they gave you and yours all of the earned respect that you and your Administration showed to Lady and former Prime Minister Maggie “Iron Lady” Thatcher.  But I guess for you, she  (along with President Reagan and Pope John) set back the Progressive Utopia a few decades.

Gosh, you must hate folks like them, and me, so much.

Such a GLORIOUS day for the Bill of Rights!
