A primary tool of any Community Organizer is to create a set of people to believe they are victims. Victims of a circumstance, victims by “authority”, victims by ginning up a fabricated storyline (see: Reverands Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson as examples). Well, isn’t it rather obnoxious to see the most powerful man in the word decide to portray himself as a victim?
“This is a matter of Congress authorizes spending,” Obama said.
“They order me to spend,” he said. “They tell me: ‘You need to fund our Defense Department at such-and-such a level. You need to send Social Security checks. You need to make sure that you are paying to care for our veterans.’ They lay all this out for me, and–because they have the spending power–and so I am required by law to go ahead and pay these bills.”
Translation for victimhood – “I’m doing what I’m told, I’m just doing my job”.
Isn’t it quite clever that his budgets have never garnered a vote? Or that he hasn’t signed a budget passed by the House and the Senate? Yet he, he’s clamored for a trillion buck stimulus (which only went to cronies and government jobs) and is absolutely demonizing anyone that stands in the way of raising the debt ceiling?
Such a strawman, this one. He might actually be a bit believable if he actually was consistently talking about, you know, lowering spending (other than in a presser here and there)?
I don’t think that we have ever had a President that was so blameless…
