Crony Capitalism - Granite Grok

Crony Capitalism

The State Employees Association of NH, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Service Employees International Union, is set to open talks soon with Governor Hassan.

For those of you private sector pukes still workin’ for the man, I have three words, well, actually more than that, taken from the existing SEIU Collective Bargaining Agreement (which can be read along with the other 250+ collective bargaining agreements in force here in the teeny tiny state of NH at http://www.nh.gov/pelrb/collective/coll_s_z.htm)

19.10. Additional Parking: The Employer agrees to provide funding in the amount of $40,000.00 in state fiscal year 2011 to fund additional parking for full-time and part-time employees who are assigned to the downtown Concord area and who are not provided with a state-provided parking space for their personal vehicle. This provision shall be administered in accordance with the practice established in state fiscal years 2008 and 2009.

Look for the union label

See, when you give big, tax-exempt private corporations like the SEIU monopoly control over jobs, you get great benefits like this.  Not like the rest of us schlubs who have to choose between having money for lunch and keeping a jar full of quarters to pay for our own freaking parking.
