“Come and Take them” – a “Line in the Granite” rally to tell NH Legislators just that

by Skip

Molone Labe - Come and Take ThemTom’s post has the link to what the Greek actually means, when first spoken at Thermopylae when the Spartan 300 held off the Persian  (English comes close with Molon Labe) armies that outnumbered them hundreds to one.   On January 31 (Thursday, 12 noon) there will be another assemblage of those willing to stand up against another taking away of rights, to give the Democrat legislators a message:

It is time for “We The People” to wake up and realize that we are about to lose everything! The current attack on our 2nd Amendment Rights by the Obama Administration is a precursor to total gun confiscation. The 2nd Amendment is the guarantor of our Constitution. Without it, we will have no Liberty. It is time for every New Hampshire citizen who values their Freedom and our Constitution to draw a line in granite, making it clear to our State and Federal Legislators who would dare to violate their oath to uphold our Constitution. They have abandoned the Constitution for far too long and this lawless behavior cannot be allowed to continue. That is why Jerry DeLemus , Organizer of the Rochester 912 Project, and Jack Kimball, Chairman of the Granite State Patriots have teamed up and are sponsoring the “ Line in the Granite, 2nd Amendment Rally.” The rally will take place on Thursday, January 31st from Noon until 2:00 PM in front of the NH Statehouse in Concord, NH. This is a “Valley Forge” event and we will rally regardless of weather. Will you be there?

Yes, it is a work day.  Yes, it is inconvenient.  Yes, the weather may be bad (hey, it’s winter in New England).  Yes, I am going to try my best to be there.

Too bad it’s a Thursday. I have two of my three personal days left this year but I’d rather save them to represent my fellow sportsmen and women at hearings for the inevitable anti-hunting legislation that’s on tap. I’m sure Sue Fournier, Babs Bonsignore and their ilk feel emboldened by the new kids on block under the golden dome and will be pushing for more idiotic bills. Either that or I’ll save them for turkey hunting. Or trout fishing.

How ’bout an after-school special? Don’t forget to bring your squirt pistol.

I’m sure by the time I get back to Concord all the festivities will be over. I guess I could take my deer rifle for a stroll across the capitol lawn.
