Getting the Royal Finger by Big Gov, Raise Your Hand If You’re Surprised…

Angry New Yorkers say Obama pledge to cut red tape ignored by FEMA” reports Fox News.

Looks like FEMA isn’t working again. Raise your hand if you’re surprised. Those that are surprised deserve what they get. Big government can’t work, doesn’t work, can never work, has never worked, so to keep voting for it over and over again is a fools errand. Alas, given the results of the last election, there are evidently many fools en route.

“We are the people – we are the middle class, and we are getting the finger,” said fruhttp://granitegrok.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=40134&action=edit&message=1strated resident Scott McGrath, who personally spoke to President Obama and New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo when they came to Staten Island to inspect storm damage earlier this month. “You were there when I met Obama, and I told the president … that the middle class was getting the royal finger. And he said, ‘FEMA works for me.’”

“FEMA ain’t doing nothing,” McGrath added. “They keep going around in circles.”

This poor Staten Islander took Kaptain O at his word to help. (Mistake, just ask Ambassador Stevens, oh wait…never mind.) Apparently, O promised to cut the red tape. Which is interesting if you think about it for a bit. That statement illustrates that O is aware of the red tape, so one must ask why is there so much of it that needs to be cut? And if it needs to be cut, why is it there at all? Naturally, he shouldn’t be expected to answer those questions, nor be asked by our Democrat press, because Americans elected a campaigner. One shouldn’t really be surprised that not only can he not manage to cut red tape, but that he’ll pretty much say anything to keep you smiling and nodding your silly, little, empty head–that’s how he sees you.

Last I checked, New York, in particular New York City, has been voting for big government for so long that small government advocates don’t even consider it worth their time to bother persuading its citizens otherwise. That doesn’t mean that they should suffer, but it does mean that there’s a teachable moment afoot that must be recognized.

They asked for it, and they got it. Super sized. They can’t have super sized soda in the City, but they sure as hell can have super sized government. They wanted big government, well, now they’re at the receiving end of Leviathan’s temperament.  And that temperament is giving them the “royal finger”. The teachable moment is: if you don’t want to get fingered by the beast, don’t vote for it. I wonder if they’ll remember that the next time elections come around. Probably not. But,to be sure, there are many more reminders to come. The pang endured by getting the finger when you need medical help and are unable to get it will surely sting even the most dim-witted, hopefully they’ll learn from it. If they think FEMA’s bad, inept, incompetent, and infuriating, wait until they get fingered by Obama Care functionaries. Those fingers have a chance of resulting in the immediate paling and chilling of yours.
