S’Preme Court Revives Challenge To Obama Care…

Liberty University - Challanging Obamacare on Religious grounds
Liberty University – Challenging ObamaCare on Religious grounds

…on religious grounds.

S’Preme credit first to Hot Air, whose title I have assumed as my own.  And second, how about a do-over?

Liberty University had challenged the law on religious grounds courtesy of the insurance mandate itself, the HHS’ contraceptive mandate,  and the retarded left-wing notion that the government can prohibit any and every exercise of religious expression the moment it steps outside the four walls of the place of worship.

SCOTUS overturned a lower courts dismissal of that case –giving it new life

None of the earlier plaintiffs brought up the religious-liberty issue, in large part because HHS hadn’t formulated its arrogant posture that the government can define religious expression.  With the HHS contraception mandate now in place, the violation of the First Amendment has now become concrete, and the courts will soon have to decide just how to square the language that that clearly stipulates that “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof” with the HHS regulation that attempts to restrict religious exercise to only within the walls of a church, synagogue, or temple.

Everyone knows the first amendment only exists to protect atheists, right?  How dare you light a candle while they are screaming at the darkness.

As Ed Morrissey points out, waiting too long on this particular issue could put an end to any number of hospitals, clinics, charities, and schools, all of whom could no longer operate if forced to comply with this state definition of religious expression.  They would simply close their doors, leaving many to look for alternatives.

Government monopolies always push out or crush competition, and more than a few of the founders were suspicious of governments role in that regard, but I don’t think they ever expected their Government to give a religious monopoly to atheism, declaring the secular faith superior when any other interferes with their political agenda.

It is funny how backwards that is.  Funny weird, not funny ha-ha.

Just goes to show you how far the culture of the left will go to undermine any institution that could oppose them.    A majority of Americans are so poorly educated that they can’t even see the tragic irony in it.
