You Are Racist Just For Running

Mitt Romney - Candidate for President - but is he a racist for running
Mitt Romney - How Dare You Run Against This President

This is not an earth shattering observation but seeing as I was just making this point last weekend I figured I should post it.  What did I say?

That it was only a matter of time before the media started trying to explain how “just running” against this incumbent president (Mr. Obama) is racist.

To Quote Elrond from the Lord of the Rings…’It has begun.’

At The Chris Matthews Hour of Hate the Left has laid the foundation for this argument with the notion that simply running against a sitting President (like say, Obama) shows disdain and arrogance.  Honestly, what was Mitt Romney thinking?

This is the first step toward the broader narrative.

The left wing media has no objection to an imperial presidency–as long as it is a Democrat–so standing athwart Obama yelling “Racist!” in this context is not far-fetched. The racist argument was the cornerstone of the 2008 campaign and everything that followed it.   Racism was, and continues to be the hideout of the Democrat parties intellectual misfits when the debate gets away from them–which is often; when you rely on fickle, Donkey-Eared sheep to prop up your agenda, and arm them with empty arguments, racism promptly rears it’s ugly head.

In the face of a monumental defeat, yes dear readers Romney is more likley up by 5-10% almost everywhere, declaring him a racist simply for seeking the office is inevitable.  The Democrats got smeared in 2010 and it hurts.  Their weakling president does not just lack coat-tails, he refuses to wear them.  This is all about Obama, and there is sweet justice in that.

Every Democrat tied their donkey to his empty  wagon and rode it to victory in 2008.  They didn’t care if he was competent.  They didn’t care about his past or his lack of accomplishments.  They just wanted to use him to achieve political power.  Well, they did.  And after four years of looking in the wagon, people realize they have been deceived.

There is nothing in the wagon.  What is worse is that everything anyone has tossed into the empty wagon, in an effort to add substance, has been diminished by it, and that includes every Democrat who has or continues to tie their donkey to that wagon.

And the greatest irony of all is that the intimidation campaign based on accusations of racism is the very thing that will Bring Obama and the Democrat party down.  My back of the envelope calculations suggest that at least one in ten voters will never actually admit publicly that they are voting against Obama.  But put them in a voting booth and you’ve just shifted the election by 10%.  And it might be more than that.  And Team Obama has to know this.

They have to scare people into giving up their right to vote.  They have to intimidate them into staying home; into not voting for the opponent.  And that is the future that they promise you.  Fear, intimidation, class warfare…now that I think of it, that is their past as well.
