Community Organizers of the Saul Alinsky mold HAVE to have someone to demonize and to call “The Other” that is “taking away something” or “Keeping you away from something” – they are only successful when they can anger folks against somebody else. And by this amusing little cartoon, we can see that Obama has been ratcheting downward his rhetoric – so much for the 2008 Obama version that decried such tactics (amusing, isn’t it, when their own words can convict them! If only would listen to themselves and stop their own hypocrisy).
Take away this one tactic, the Alinsky tactic of demonization, and what does Obama have left to run on as a platform? Spend more money we don’t have? Ignore the laws that are on the books (and keep making up stuff along the way instead)? “I fly Michelle worldwide for vacations instead of giving her a paycheck”? And claiming we all built nothing?
Oh yeah – “I’ll give you more stuff for free”.
Sadly, that may work as the Spirit of America is being transformed from that of “Can Do!” and self-responsibility to one of “Gimme!”. Frankly, that’s all that Progressives have in their favor – promising something for free and never, EVAH, pointing out that there will be a cost later down the road.
