Classics Professor Victor Davis Hanson

It is a pleasure to read essays by classics professor Victor Davis Hanson at any time, but especially when he’s explicating the Big Picture, as he does in his seminal political essay, Tuning Out a President. However, what’s surprising in his case is the fervor, insight, and sheer volume of commentary that often follows such pieces There are often hundreds of responses, many proving to be extremely insightful. Here’s one in response to Hanson’s essay noted above, from someone writing under the handle “BarocheDique“:

Thank God for the NEW MEDIA in America today. Every day more and more people are starting to see the truth – they were suckered into the biggest bait and switch in American history by a complicit, lapdog MSM that allowed a committed marxist to be elected to the presidency without telling the American people the truth about his upbringing and associations.

Raised as a Muslim, mentored by a communist, converted to black liberation theology (aka: Marxist racism), befriended by domestic terrorists and his only accomplishment is being a community organizer of rabble and riff-raff (think ACORN). He has been coddled and groomed every step of the way by a radical theology to help him achieve what he cannot achieve on his own. As is the case with almost every Democrat today, they have to lie to get elected….if they told us the truth, there would not be very many in office.

This man is an embarrassment and a nincompoop—he is the least qualified man in any room—our enemies laugh at him, and us. It will take years to repair the damage he has done to our economy, our intelligence services, and our armed forces. We get back to work November 6th.
