Agenda 21’s Evil Twin: Meet the Common Core Curriculum, and the PLANNED Dumbing Down of Our Kids

Attorney Robin Eubanks (not the musician) figures stuff out, and she has thoroughly dissected the deceptive agenda behind Goals 2000 and the Common Core Curriculum

For the past couple of months, since Jack Kimball uncovered an attempted property-rights coup in Dover, we have paid a great deal of attention to the UN Agenda 21, which simply put, plans to reduce us under servitude of a one world government by incrementally promoting “Sustainable Development”, and other platitudinous claptrap, which shrinks our rights as it “nudges” us toward what is “good for us and the planet”. Skip covered the visit of Rosa Koire here, here, and here.

More recently, Granite State Patriot, Nancy Kindler has been investigating the Clinton era educational program, Goals 2000, and has managed to obtain a rare copy of a contemporaneous analysis, which explains the hidden agenda behind touchy-feely, feel-good, expressionist “Outcome Based Education”. What she found was shocking, so I did some searching to verify her findings: Sure enough, most of the “official” outlets are busy telling you how good these programs are for our kids, even as we fume about the results being precisely the opposite. THEN, I found this incredibly well written and researched blog

Invisible Serf's Collar

Drawing upon her attorney’s training, and a vast array of original sources, Robin Eubanks started the blog “Invisible Serf’s Collar“, in April, and has churned out a huge amount of very well written documentation on the origins, history, goals, and effects of the Common Core Curriculum. Read it and weep. Then Get mad. Then vow to get even. Then vote the bums out, and work to get education out from under the Feds and the UN, before it’s too late!
Here is an excerpt from Robin’s “about” page:

A background in Law is also excellent preparation for determining precisely what the terms commonly used actually mean. Especially in an industry that is consciously using language to hide the actual intended goals. My experience allowed me to recognize that education in the US and globally has been, for decades, engaged in a massive Newspeak (as in George Orwell’s 1984) campaign that creates a public illusion on what is being promised and what is coming to the schools and classrooms that are this country’s future. I know what the words and terms really mean to an Ed insider and how it differs from the common public perception. I have documented what was really behind the reading wars and math wars. I have pulled together what the real intended Common Core implementation looks like. And it is wildly different from the PR sales job used to gain adoption in most of the states.

And here is her first, introductory, post:

The Common Core Deception and the Invisible Nature of the Serf’s Collar

This morning I was greeted with a link to yet another story on the changes in content and grades of coverage that will become effective in next fall’s school classrooms in Georgia. All in the name of higher academic standards of course. To be internationally competitive in the new global knowledge economy of the 21st century.

That does sound wonderful, doesn’t it? Finally to have our schools and classrooms and teachers all moving towards a common vision of what American students need to know and be able to do in the 21st Century. Why am I so skeptical?

That’s what this blog will be about. Monitoring and describing this summer before the official rollout what’s really going to happen to your child and your community and your state in the name of Common Core. We are going to try to get a handle on which states are aggressively implementing outcomes based education (OBE) under the banner of Common Core. And which type of OBE. Yes, there is more than one. Thanks for asking. We are also going to talk about why OBE in its various forms just keeps coming back. New names but always the same dangerous function.

Dangerous to the student and his prospects as an adult. Dangerous to this country and the core assumptions that have served it well for more than two centuries. Absolutely lethal to our prosperity and our economy generally. Intentionally so. At least in the aims of the original designers of what has come to be known all over the world as OBE.

It’s going to be an interesting summer. Welcome aboard.

You can be assured that Granite Grok is reaching out to Robin for an interview, and there will be more on this topic as we uncover it. If YOU have stories on the dumbing down of education here in NH, especially if it’s driven by Goals 2000 and the Common Core Curriculum, please send tips to grokwatch@granitegrok.com

Last, but not least, H/T American Thinker for the link to Robin’s blog.
