Over at National Review, Jonah Goldberg postulates, only slightly in jest, that Obama is running out of viable surrogates! After all, When Obama hits the road and attacks Romney, it just reminds voters that he can’t run on his own record. Joe the Gaffer has caused his share of grief already; Tiny Tim Geithner would get hit with questions on the deficit and the reckless printing of money; Kathleen Sebelius would be slammed on freedom of religion…. Big Sis Napolitano? Lisa no-coal Jackson? Ken no-oil Salazar? Fuggedabahtit! David Axeltramp already got a raucous welcome on the trail last week.
And so, Obama is left in the position of using the devil he knows, and accepting that Bill always marches to his own drummer: Bill’s a crowd pleaser for sure, but he has his own interests to pursue.
Riddle: is that picture real, or is it Photoshopped? It’s so surreal that I find it hard to believe, but I can’t find any obvious flaws. (Or perhaps NRO’s artists are more skillful than Obama’s?)
Heere’s Willie! Obama uses Bill Clinton at his own risk.
Mike is a British import of almost 40 years, who was a conservative in the days of Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan.
A staunch constitutionalist, Mike espouses all good causes toward the libertarian side of conservative – EG he who governs least, governs best. He believes that the Declaration, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights mean what they say, and that candidates for office should take their oaths of office seriously.
Here to defend, without irony “Your rights as Englishmen from distant and tyrannical government”, Mike knows whereof he speaks and exhorts all US citizens to live, breathe and teach our history and our constitution.
