I don’t think readers who have been paying attention to the Brett Kimberlin affair will need much reminding of who Aaron Walker is.
The short story is this: Terrorist Brett Kimberlin and assorted troublemakers founded the Justice Through Music Project and Velvet Revolution (a rip off of the real Czech revolution) to enrich themselves by peddling false claims about Republican vote stealing to gullible democrats.
One liberal blogger, Seth Allen, spotted the dubious backgrounds of these operatives and pointed out that the Dems were not doing themselves any favors associating with a domestic terrorist, and proven con-man. The bad guys immediately engaged in “lawfare”, EG frivolous suits against Allen, and lawyer/blogger Aaron Walker came to his rescue. (Justice should be blind, and the conservative Walker had no qualms defending the Liberal Allen against true evil.)
Then the real fun started.
Kimberlin and his buddies threatened Walker’s employer, causing him and his wife to lose their jobs. Various other bloggers who got involved were harassed, including some who were SWATted (attempted homicide by cop), amongst them the famous Erick Erickson of RedState.com. Also in May, blogger and newshound, Robert Stacy McCain, got on the scent of the axis of weevils, and he and his wife were driven out of their home by threats against her employer.
Amongst the lawfare was a frivolous restraining order against Walker, preventing him from blogging about Kimberlin and the axis of weevils, which leads us to today’s coup de grace: Aaron Walker got his hearing on the restraining order, retrieved his first amendment rights to blog about the weevils, and yes, promptly got SWATted the same evening.
Read the Twitchy.com article below and follow the links. Also read up on The Kimberlin Files over at TheOtherMcCain.com, and then ask yourself why our famous law and order Senator, Ayotte, has not yet joined those in the senate and congress calling for an investigation into this reign of terror.
Please also consider contributing to Stacy’s “Shoe Leather Fund“, because he is one of the best investigative journalists out there, and his family is still looking for a new home after their moment in the crosshairs.
Update: Aaron Walker’s own account of the evening’s events, as well as links to the “case history”. And a statement about professnal fortitude from Aaron’s lawyer.
