Yawn – Mainstream Media Reporter(s) lazily gets it wrong

by Skip

Updated and bumped:  Well, another loyal reader caught another Union Leader reporter, Paul Feely, making the same lazy mistake (emphasis mine):

The video shows what appears to be New Hampshire election officials handing ballots to unidentified men, who videotaped the exchanges with hidden cameras at polls in Manchester and Nashua.

Plural: ballots, men.  I watched the NH videos.  They are posted on the ‘Grok.  No such thing happened.  I repeat: Or is it pushing a narrative? I’m beginning to think that I’d be committing citizen journalistic malfeasance if I keep keeping that question mark up there on my question (“narrative?“).

Since James O’Keefe made the news again here in NH this weekend, this article by John DiStaso  of the Union Leader caught my eye.  If he had actually, you know, watched the videos, he would have known better:

O’Keefe’s Project Veritas, attempting to show that the state has weak voter identification laws, sent people into voting places during the presidential primary giving the names of dead Granite Staters and receiving ballots.

Sir?  At no time did any of the Project Veritas folks take a ballot and try to actually vote.  In fact, in ALL of the videos that I have seen (and we have pretty much posted them all here on the ‘Grok), I have only seen one of the “actors” have a ballot in his hands – and at that, only once, and he quickly put it down in front of the election official.

While there’s a mea culpa in here as well, he gets paid for doing this kind of stuff – a professional.  Or is it pushing a narrative?
