Trayvon, Hurricanes, And Faux Pow Wow Chow - Granite Grok

Trayvon, Hurricanes, And Faux Pow Wow Chow

Democrats can't seem to hit anythingIf you’ve recovered from the underwhelming Facebook IPO, perhaps you are ready for this?

Trayvon was beating George Zimmerma badly before the man finally shot him in self-defense.  There is no doubt about that.

So here’s an observation for the anti-second amendment clowns who are always insisting that lawfully armed citizens run away from any conflict (the same folks who hung Zimmerman out to dry on day one).   It’s not so easy to run away when your attacker is straddling you and pounding the crap out of you.

Next Up, the Global Warming denier deniers took another kick to the green chestnuts this week.  Looks like more frequent and severe hurricanes were not in store for US coastlines due to the all-powerful invisible sky god known as Global warming; and we may have Al Gore to thank for that. (I guess it’s not just snow he can summon with his very presence.)

From the Heartland Institutes Climate Change Weekly…

No major hurricane has struck the United States since Al Gore blamed global warming for major hurricanes in his 2006 movie, “An Inconvenient Truth.”

Would it be an inconvenient truth that since the year of his Academy Award wining movie the US has gone 2,412 days (and counting) between Cat 3, 4 or 5 hurricanes making landfall?  That’s the longest stretch since they started keeping track in 1900.  Thanks Al.  You know, the Goreacle did have some rather dire predictions about the economy.  If he were to go back and re-edit his little movie, and change the cause from”Global Warming” to “Barack Obama,” he’d have actually gotten one thing right.

And finally, from the desk of Faux-cahontas (Democrat Senate Candidate Liz Warren)

The Cherokee impersonator apparently submitted some recipes for a cook book of traditional American Indian fare.  By all accounts she plagiarized them, which means Joe Biden will still campaign for her.

Two of the possibly plagiarized recipes, said in the Pow Wow Chow cookbook to have been passed down through generations of Oklahoma Native American members of the Cherokee tribe, are described in a New York Times News Service story as originating at Le Pavilion, a fabulously expensive French restaurant in Manhattan. The dishes were said to be particular favorites of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor and Cole Porter.

Takeaway: Is it really plagiarism to fake American Indian recipes when you are already a fake American Indian to begin with?  And should we expect Liz Warren to move to New Hampshire sometime soon so she can run for the State Senate as a Republican?
