This Slut Votes

The War on Women continues apace, and right here in the Granite State. According to ‘The New Hampshire,’ a UNH campus publication, on April 28th, 30 people “gathered outside of Thompson Hall to participate in a national rally for women’s reproductive rights in support of access to birth control, Plan B One-Step, Planned Parenthood, and abortions.”

At the crux of this gathering is a woman’s right to score as much tail as she wants, at taxpayer expense, without the fear of being punished with a baby, although Ryan Greenwood, the local event organizer and a member of the event sponsor, Unite Against the War on Women, said it is about human rights.

“We all feel personally affected with what is going on right now. I think the most important thing to know is that it is not a liberal backlash. It is about human rights,” Greenwood said. “At the end of the day, it is up to every woman to decide what is right for her.”

From where I stand giving it away has always been up to every woman to decide, but this is not about that. This is about every woman being convinced that she has a right to have sex without children at public expense.

The New Hampshire also reports that some of the participants had signs including, “This slut votes,” “Don’t tread on my uterus,” and “There’s no place in my vagina for your laws!”

I can get into that last point because if that were true, there would be no further need for discussion.  But in the context of this debate lawless vaginas are not even an option.

Before the government can legally take other people’s money and spend it, even if it’s on traffic in and out of ‘your vagina’ they have to pass a law.

You need a law to support taxpayer-funded abortion, a law for taxpayer-funded contraception, and other laws for whatever else it is about your vagina that constitutes “women’s health” and “human rights.” So you should be finding new places in your vagina for more laws not less.

And not to scare “Don’t Tread on my Uterus” but every law requires scores of bureaucrats to write relevant rules and manage the regulations, implement them, and even enforce them, which will turn your vagina into a Law library and result in a uterus that has not only been thoroughly trampled on but will need to lease out space for the ever-expanding bureaucracy.

This may come as a contradiction to the “college-educated” idiots and sixties radical burnouts parading around with ‘This slut votes” signs, but if you want people to leave your lady parts alone stop asking the state to function as a Taxpayer-funded Venture Capitalist for your sex life.

All you are doing is inviting more of that which you claim to object. It also makes you look like you have the intellectual agility of a small soap dish. But being (very likely) a product of years of government schooling, what else could we expect?

So could this get any better?  Yes, it could.  One of the four “men’ at the sparsely attended event, was Democrat Rep. Timothy Horrigan, a regular reader here at GraniteGrok.  (Hi Tim, enjoying the read?) And yes, there’s a quote.

“I support women’s rights. If it wasn’t for my mother, I wouldn’t be here,” Tim Horrigan, representative of Durham, Lee and Madbury, said. He advised women to get out and vote, and to not take this right for granted.

“If it wasn’t for my mother I wouldn’t be here.” No kidding?  Good to know you were not grown in a dish.   Question?  Isn’t that an awfully strange thing to say at a rally “in support of taxpayer-funded access to birth control, Plan B One-Step, Planned Parenthood, and abortions,” all things with the specific purpose of preventing motherhood?

Ladies, if you do not find the word ladies offensive, everything the pro-government Democrats invest money in is simply another path toward controlling that thing. Once the government funds it, the government basically owns it. By asking the government to finance by force of law, that which occurs between your legs, whether you call it the latest left-wing propaganda buzzword like health, human rights, or something else, you are inviting them to control what happens there. It is therefore contradictory of you to demand it under the misguided notion that this will result in more freedom not less.

You have been duped.  Enjoy the ride.
