New Hampshire, the Free State Project and the impending economic collapse of America

What do those three things have to do with each other? Well, as Mark Steyn has pointed out HERE—his whole column is well worth reading, by the way; go ahead and read it now—“There’s a famous exchange in Hemingway’s The Sun Also Rises. Someone asks Mike Campbell, ‘How did you go bankrupt?’ ‘Two ways,’ he replies.

‘Gradually, then suddenly.’

Steyn continues: America has “been going through the gradual phase so long, we’re kinda used to it. But it’s coming to an end, and what happens next will be the second way: sudden, and very bad….I get asked with distressing frequency by Americans where I would recommend fleeing to. The reality is, given the dollar’s decline over the last decade, that most Americans can no longer afford to flee to any place worth fleeing to. What’s left is the non-flee option: taking a stand here, stopping the spendaholism, closing federal agencies, privatizing departments, block-granting to the states — not in 2040, but now. ‘Suddenly’ is about to show up.”

That’s emphasis added by me. “A place to flee to”? Well, thanks to its native culture, and the continuing influx of liberty-and-freedom-oriented citizens into New Hampshire as a result of the Free State Project, the state is soon going to be the most enviable place to live in North America. (Out of all 57 states!)

So…hey out there! All you people in America who see what’s coming and still hold the values upon which our country was founded…THIS is the place to be when the lights go out! As more of us assemble and fight the same local forces of statism and socialism that are bringing down America, our state will begin to shine as a beacon of hope and capitalist renewal amidst the statist wreckage. As it says on the Free State Project web site, the project’s success “will likely entail reductions in burdensome taxation and regulation, reforms in state and local law, an end to federal mandates, and a restoration of constitutional federalism, demonstrating the benefits of liberty to the rest of the nation and to the world.”

In other words, when the U.S. has collapsed under the weight of debt run up by both Democrats and Republicans (especially Obama…who is a champion Democrat), New Hampshire will become a “little Hong Kong” for our country and for the world, demonstrating the simple but unstoppable logic and results of capitalism and freedom.

So if you live anywhere in America other than New Hampshire, and you understand the magnitude of the onrushing calamity…then you need to start packing your bags now.

You don’t want to be trapped in America’s Second Great Depression anywhere other than in the Free State of New Hampshire, where you’ll eventually be joined by tens of thousands of capitalist freedom-fighters.

It makes the collectivist pigs tremble. In New Hampshire, it’s going to be a whole new political game: Statists in their varying types will no longer hold the balance of power. How’s that for a nifty idea?

Well then…get yourself to New Hampshire!
