It Isn’t Getting Easier Being Green

I can’t recall how many leaders in the Republican’s War on Women have called on their misogynist foot soldiers to burn down Sandra Fluke’s house (or any of her defenders) for demanding we pay for her contraception; probably because there is no war from the Right, but even if there were, no one on the right would ever even suggest such a thing.

But piss off a lefty whacko, and who knows what they’ll do.  Democrats announce on the floor of Congress that Republicans want you to die, laugh at the idea of Rush Limbaugh writhing in torment, or that the GOP wants to push your granny off a cliff; or for some local flavor, how about wanting to run over the NH Republican House Speaker in a crosswalk, or calling Republicans stingy old people who are stupid?

So should we be surprised if a lefty said this?

“We know who the active denialists are – not the people who buy the lies, mind you, but the people who create the lies. Let’s start keeping track of them now, and when the famines come, let’s make them pay. Let’s let their houses burn. Let’s swap their safe land for submerged islands. Let’s force them to bear the cost of rising food prices,” writes Zwick, adding, “They broke the climate. Why should the rest of us have to pay for it?”

That’s Climate Alarmist Steve Zwick.  He’s not having a great couple of years.  And who could blame him?  In 2009 America had the greenest President and Democrat leadership ever, complete control of Congress, and got almost nothing legislatively for it, unless billions lost to green energy bankruptcies and a precipitous decline in attendance at his Church of Global Warming counts as a plus.  If it were not for Executive overreach and bureaucratic zeal, Obama would never have been able to screw the energy industry as much as he has.  But that’s not enough for Environmental lefty globalist whacko Zwick, who’d rather have us living in adobe huts and fetching water from a stream with a used butter tub we scrounged from the skeleton of the whole foods store in the forbidden territory…or something.  But most people don’t like or even care what Steve’s verb is, and he’s mad as hell.  He’s not going to take it anymore.  So the solution?  Terrorize people who disagree and threaten to burn them out if they don’t comply.

Resistance is Futile. You will be assimilated.  And if not, then shut the hell up, or we burn down your house.

How sweet.

I would like to ask Steve a question, switching gears just a bit here, about “bearing the cost of rising food prices?”  Where do you live and shop, Steve, a meadow?  Because in the real world, where most people can’t get published in Forbes Magazine, Obama’s monetizing debt, five trillion in freshly minted deceit Barack O’dollars, and the assault on cheap, reliable energy have already forced us to bear the cost of rising food prices.  My grocery bill has almost doubled under Obama’s fiscal tyranny.  This means–Steve–I don’t have any disposable income for 7$ light bulbs, 5$ for a carton of free range eggs, (half a billion for the average bankrupt solar company), or $40,000 each for coal-powered electric cars to save the planet,  cars that, and isn’t this ironic, had to be recalled because they were catching fire.

I wonder if that’s where he got the idea to burn people’s homes.

It also occurs to me, and I’m not alone, that the “threat” of an extra week or two of the growing season and a much wider selection of potential crops for places like New Hampshire, 100 years from now, is only slightly less daunting a concern than wondering whether to drop cable or cancel my cell phones, so I can keep feeding my family decent food for a few more months, should it come to that point.  And yes, I feel lucky to even have a job, thank you, and no thanks to people like you and the kinds of politicians you straight-jacket escapees keep voting for.

And that sinking island thing, really, Steve?  If it’s so bad, why do rich liberals keep buying beachfront and investing in island villas?  For the insurance money?  Give me a break. Between that and the Liberal private jets and McMansions, it’s a wonder you still get anything you write published anywhere but Mother Jones.

And one more point we had the best cover when your little revolution does come, don’t put Spike Lee in charge of distributing the addresses of those “climate deniers.”  We wouldn’t want your angry mob burning down the wrong house.   And how do you plan to do that anyway?  Burn down the houses.  Have you thought it through?  Do not be embarrassed if you haven’t–most progressive types can’t think past their next feeling.  But do you guys have a big green magnifying glass with engravings of wales, snail darters, and Spotted owls on the handle? It might be a bit hypocritical of you to use oil-based accelerants or anything that would create toxic fumes to start your little mobocracy fires, you know, besides the fumes from the entire contents of the house, of course.  (I’ve  no doubt the Obama EPA would look the other way for that, you hypocrites.)

Oh, and then there’s the whole threatening life and property thing and what is clearly an act of intimidation against free political speech to which Steve Zwick objects.   This means that Zwick’s argument is weak, and he is incapable of refuting his opponents–the same reason most Democrats and Progressives try to intimidate people into silence.  Can’t win, shut them up.  Funny, but that is why we have the first amendment, to prevent the use of force to silence political speech.  Now you know why Democrats want to change it.  But all that aside, isn’t this bullying, hate speech, or criminal threatening or something?  Didn’t the Democrat Congress pass the Matthew Shepherd Pentagon Spending Hate Crimes Bill?   This guy is threatening to burn people out of their homes, or maybe even burn them in their homes.  Where’s the left-wing outrage factory?  Oh, wait–a Republican didn’t say it, so there is nothing to report here.  Please move along.  I said move along.   Move along, or we’ll burn your house down.
