A Merrimack State Of Mind – Partisan Non-Partisan Elections

The best indicator of a candidates partisan tendencies–in a non partisan election–is to watch where the yard signs pop up.  The Democrats in town will tell you who the tax and spenders are by supporting candidates who are most likley to give them the big, top heavy, budget busting, taxpayer funded institution they adore.

They didn’t stop being Democrats just for the local elections.

So it can’t be a coincidence that the same people who support Carol Shea-Porter, Jeanne Shaheen, and Barack Obama, all have Andy Schneider and Davis Powell for Merrimack School board signs in their yards.  I’ve been all over town.  The big government tax and spenders love those two.    If we elected our local town officials in November they’d be crowding right up along side the signage of every popular progressive in politics.

[Inset warning bells here]

Regardless of what they claim to stand for, in a Republican town like Merrimack, the Democrats have showed you who the tax and spenders are.  I’d suggest we get out to the polls on April 10th and make sure Schneider and Powell do not end up on our school board.   We simply can’t “afford” to take that chance.
