Killing Babies Should Be OK - Granite Grok

Killing Babies Should Be OK

That is the premise of an article written by some experts who believe that…

The moral status of an infant is equivalent to that of a fetus in the sense that both lack those properties that justify the attribution of a right to life to an individual.”

There are more pull-quotes from this article than I know what to do with but to simplify my argument, this is exactly why abortion is wrong.  It is not a right or a privilege, it is but one small step in the progressive states patient journey towards state sanctioned euthanasia–where the state would be free to define “suffering” as any burden upon the state and the taxpayers who are paying the price for that burden.

If you are not bright enough to make the connection between the progressives centralizing of all decision-making power while redefining morality based on cost to the state, you might not be smart enough to live in their utopia–unless you join the state party (a union, for example) and make regular donations to “the cause.”  As long as you can pay you can stay.

And there are more than a few people who still think abortion is a choice.  Sure it is.  So is murder. And after crawling across a–we’ll call it healthy–discussion on this very article (on facebook), where there was a good deal of over-intellectualizing about abortion and rights, and so on, I wrote this.

If life at any one point has meaning then life at every point has meaning and everything else is just an excuse to redefine morality until it suits our present need.

We didn’t start out at live-birth abortion.  We worked our way up from the first trimester.  So the human journey to justifying the execution of infants is just the next logical step in the “compassionate” progressive Left’s ideology.  But what makes you think the same experts will just stop there?  What next can we define–as the article points out–as a burden on the families or the state that supports them?

The generation that was brain-washed into making excuses for killing the unborn is writhing in their skin at this point, but before you uncoil your rage on me ask why the same politically-motivated progressives in America who favor live birth abortion–and could just as easily make the same intellectual leap required to support the thesis of killing infants–are simultaneously attempting to tie the state and it’s fiscal tentacles, to every aspect of our lives?

Is it unfathomable that at some point the mentally disabled at any age, or the criminally insane, might be viewed as burdens upon families and the state?   Then who, the politically insane?  Political prisoners?  People, who speak a bit too loud?

Abortion was just a step on a long journey, to a place where fascists justify political executions and genocide for the good of the state.  This was never about protecting rights, it was about denying them.

It is not OK to kill babies.  It never was.  Even after they trained us to redefine what one was before birth.
