Just Another Day In The Village

In a tweet posted a few days ago, State Democrat Party Propaganda minister Harrell “Jersey Shore” Kirstein basically threw Governor John Lynches signature program to reduce High School drop out rates under the bus.  No, he didn’t intend to do that but the tweet included a link to a Nashua Telegraph opinion piece by a local woman whose daughter had run off and stopped attending High School as a result of a funding cut to another program.  So much for the drop out rate.
Harrel Kirstein - NH Democrat Propoganda Minister
Despite that Kirstein still seems content to use this one parent and one child as props for the Progressive party agenda attack on a legislature that refuses to run the soaring deficits of its democrat predecessors.
But if that argument is even a remotely credible then that same “student” must not only be an indictment against John Lynches faux-reporting changes that “improved” drop out rates, but also on the Lefts decades long obsession with exposing kids to the so-called superior environment of a government run school system.  They clearly can’t manage to keep the kids coming back to the classroom without forcing taxpayers to spend millions more on additional state funded programs in addition to the millions spent on public education.  Given all those millions, shouldn’t this girl just love public school?

Another failure of left wing doctrine we just have to consider here is whether Senator Jeanne Shaheen really gives a damn about these kind of kids?  Shouldn’t she be investigating why a government run school system with a multimillion dollar budget and at least ten years of student immersion can’t have taught this girl the value of showing up at the propaganda mill?

And if we really do need an additional million-dollar-per-year tax-payer funded side-car program where is Jeannie-on-the spot, “here’s some federal money for the abortion clinics” Shaheen to save the day?   As I understand it 1000 New Hampshire kids who should be in love with public education after years of stewing in its juices need just a little more help to keep attendance up to snuff.  This should be as easy as ordering a pizza for a Democrat of Shaheen’s influence.

Is she too busy defending billions lost on Obama-supporting investors of now bankrupt companies with hundred of billions in taxpayer backed green energy loans to scrounge up another few million for the home team

And while we’re at it, where the hell did all that one-time-money go?  New Hampshire Democrats were rolling in one-time money when they had the majority.  Governor Lynch couldn’t tie us up in those Federal strings fast enough.  You mean to tell me the progressives didn’t set aside enough of that money to fund a program they shouldn’t have even needed in the first place?

And to Kirstein’s specific point, that the GOP NH Budget is hurting NH citizens, will the New Hampshire Democrat Party be campaigning for 2012 on the “benefits” of the nearly billion dollar deficit they rang up before being flushed from power?  Not for nothing Jersey Shore but the NHGOP ‘Inherited” that train wreck from your party.  You want to lay blame look in the mirror.

Moving on… How about the NEA?  The nations largest Teachers union–which represents the teachers that poor girl can’t wait to get away from– spent around 133 million last year just on Lobbying, with over 11 million spent on donations to Democrats.  Some of that came out of the pockets of New Hampshire teachers and ended up in the pockets of New Hampshire Democrats.   The same Democrats who argue for raises and benefits for teachers and public employees paid for by taxpayers, and who might want to figure how to explain to taxpayers why they need more stinking money for their dysfunctional version of Hillary’s damn village.

How’s that tweet working out for you now?

So what does that mom and her daughter from the opinion letter really represent?   The collapse of self-responsibility?  Thirty years of left wing social engineering success?  The huge holes in John Lynches improving drop out rates?  Senator Shaheen’s careless disregard for children in need (unless the need is for an abortion)?  Democrats abysmal budget management skills and the far reaching consequences of left-wing billion dollar deficits?   Teachers unions that would rather lobby than give back to the community to support local programs that help teachers keep their students in the classroom?  Or is it just the failure of the lefts preeminent government institution–a public education system that kids can’t wait to get the hell away from?

One tweet, one opinion letter, one mom, one kid used as one left wing prop to represent everyone and everything, but what do we find?  More problems rooted in the incompetence of the New Hampshire Democrat party and the entire progressive agenda than their out-of-state backwater Propaganda minister can even consider.   Just another day in the village.
