A 21-year-old girl in Waco, Texas says “Put me in charge!”

by Tim Condon

This, from a 21-year-old female, was in the Waco Tribune Herald in Waco, Texas on November 18, 2010 (maybe…I haven’t checked it; but it sounds good anyway!).

"Put me in charge . . . "

Put me in charge of food stamps. I’d get rid of Lone Star cards; no cash for Ding Dongs or Ho Ho’s, just money for 50-pound bags of rice and beans, blocks of cheese and all the powdered milk you can haul away. If you want steak and frozen pizza…

…then get a job.

Put me in charge of Medicaid. The first thing I’d do is to get women Norplant birth control implants or tubal ligations. Then, we’ll test recipients for drugs, alcohol, and nicotine and document all tattoos and piercings. If you want to reproduce or use drugs, alcohol, smoke or get tats and piercings, then get a job.

Put me in charge of government housing. Ever live in a military barracks?
You will maintain our property in a clean and good state of repair. Your "home" will be subject to inspections anytime and possessions will be inventoried. If you want a plasma TV or Xbox 360, then get a job and your own place.

In addition, you will either present a check stub from a job each week or you will report to a "government" job. It may be cleaning the roadways of trash, painting and repairing public housing, whatever we find for you. We will sell your 22 inch rims and low profile tires and your blasting stereo and speakers and put that money toward the "common good."

Before you write that I’ve violated someone’s rights, realize that all of the above is voluntary. If you want our money, accept our rules. Before you say that this would be "demeaning" and ruin their "self-esteem," consider that it wasn’t that long ago that taking someone else’s money for doing absolutely nothing was demeaning and lowered self-esteem.

If we are expected to pay for other people’s mistakes we should at least attempt to make them learn from their bad choices. The current system rewards them for continuing to make bad choices.

AND, while you are on Gov’t subsistence, you no longer can VOTE! Yes that is correct. For you to vote would be a conflict of interest. You will voluntarily remove yourself from voting while you are receiving a government welfare check. If you want to vote, then get a job.

at first glance this is communistic and unconstitutional also the outlook is from one assuming full control of these individuals lives which is not subsidizing at all it s giving more control to the government which is a violation of there rights because she is speaking from the perspective of being appointed not elected and before i get into ANYMORE of why this is wrong if anyone starts off with put me in charge thats the first red flag, “a leader can be appointed but leadership that is followed by loyalty is earned not appointed”-me, but to be expected of one that does not have much life experience now with that said you are talking about citizens not subjects u r talking about people not criminals. now to lead into why this is wrong one this doesn t even begin to address the problem because the economic collapse in this country wasn t caused by individuals. but more so because of greedy bureacrats left unchecked by they re peers because the individuals on government subsidy are enabled by those WHO VOTE ON THE BILLS, The ELECTED not the ELECTEES it s like gun rights being attacked and legally compliant gun owners who own guns and acquired them through proper means being punished for those who use those weapons or tools in evil ways that is in no way right. and to abolish the rights of those law biding citizens based off the actions of those whom do not follow morality then YES YOU ARE VIOLATING THE RIGHTS of THOSE INDIVIDUALS ABSOLUTELY -first things first if u get rid of stamps or cards then to replace it with money just for bags of rice blocks of cheese and powdered milk why would replace a card with money the cards can only be used at certain places replacing that with cash that has no limitation is counter productive -secondly we re talking about subsidizing so more money to build large barrack like buildings that will only work for single people cause regardless of the individuals choices what are gonna make children ward of the state so that a mother and father can fit into a barracks and also we re complaining about obamacare now we re gonna test for legal drugs and star implementing birth control measures that she will only impose against woman which is not an equal measure it takes the choice of 2 individuals for that action which is a VIOLATION of rights -thirdly this whole rant about if you don t have a job but then u demand check stub if someone produces a check stub THEY ARE NOT subject to the same criteria so again rights ARE violated as well as anyone who complies and give this their full effort. -finally It is also a VIOLATION of ones rights because while they have NOT violated ANY laws they are being treated worse than an INMATE less fortunate is not criminal. the ability to regulate something that is not regulated just means more expenditures end of story THE ONLY THING I CAN AGREE WITH IS THE VOTING ASPECT CAUSE IT IS AN ETHICAL ORDEAL WITH IS THE POLITICIAN BUYING THE VOTE MUCH LIKE A LOBBYIST BUYS A POLTICIAN again i get her sentiments but she obviously talks about requirements of showing a check stub which is not congruent to one without a job so yes she is severely violating rights cause of her inability to show equality and that s not lumping someone who is working with the same crowd as one who is not working and undermines everything our forefathers gave their lives for and all those Americans who since have paid the ultimate sacrifice for their country that is assuming Gods role because He is the only one that has the right to make that kindof judgement against an Individual and to the young lady who is the author of this post for you to attempt to impose your will against another makes u no better.

Look at her. Look at the large houses and breasts! Apparently she was born into money and has never known struggle. Not all people on welfare are unemployed. Just overworked and underpaid. Notice her identity has not been shared…
