Is BET Founder Ted Leonsis A Racist?

I’m so confused.  Morgan Freeman thinks I’m a racist.  And Now Samuel L. Jackson (L for Leftist?) thinks that as well.  All because I disagree with the way Mr. Obama is doing his job.  Odd thing though.  Ted Leonsis, the founder of Black Entertainment Television, is not particularly happy with Mr. Obama at the moment either.

Mr. Leonsis is..um..Black, wealthy, and a major Democrat donor.

“Attacking me is not going to convince me that I should take a bigger hit because I happen to be wealthy. … I’ve tried poor and I’ve tried rich and I like rich better, doesn’t mean I’m a bad guy. … I didn’t go into business to create a public policy success for either party, Republican or Democrat. I went into business to create jobs, to create opportunity, to create value for myself and my investors.”

So is Ted Leonsis a racist now too?

Are the class warfare Neo-Progs going to media-waterboard Ted until he swears allegiance to the social justice Jihad?  Or will they just cash his next donation check and pretend this never happened?

I’d like to thank Mr. Leonsis for pointing out that you can make your life better without taking over Wall Street and demanding that other people do your work and pay for you as well.  (Note to protesters: prisoners in Turkish jails subsist on a "living wage," have single payer health care, and well, you can see where I’m going…or can you?)

Herman Cain also worked hard to get where he is, is wealthy by any real mans measure, and he too deserves our respect and appreciation, regardless of whether you agree with his politics.  Of course those of us who see him for something other than a black man, we’re the racists.  Mr. Cain, he’s not even a real black man according to the "non-racists," even if he is more of a black man than Barry Soetoro the clueless half white guy wrecking the country.  And Ted Leonsis?  A man whose innovation and job creation rewarded him wealth.  A man who now has an issue with the Obama/DNC class warfare schtick.

I suppose the left could write it off as free speech, as long as he keeps paying tribute to the party elders.  But if he should have a change of heart, maybe support someone like Herman Cain, he’d best prepared to get lumped in with Justice Clarence Thomas, which to my mind would be a step up.

The bigger problem is of course the dilution of the term racism, and the very idea of it, by using it to define things that are not the least bit racist.  The left and the Obama-zombies have so misused the term that they are starving it of all meaning.  That would be sad.  It is sad becasue there are still real racists in the world but lacking a proper discourse it becomes increasingly difficult to call them out.

Of course, given the Democrat parties racist past, maybe that is entirely the point.
