Inane Jane-ane Gar ‘awful’ oh

Janeane Garofalo should have her own breakfast cereal.   It would have to come in a small, narrow box.  We’d call it Gar ‘Awful" Oh’s, and it would come with the bitter taste of guilt.  Left wing guilt.  Guilt that makes you say and do incredibly stupid things.  Because that is who and what Gar-awful-oh is, the poster child of this inanity about racism.

People like Karl Rove liked to keep the racism very covert. And so Herman Cain provides this great opportunity say you can say ‘Look, this is not a racist, anti-immigrant, anti-female, anti-gay movement. Look we have a black man.

Sound like projection?

Todd Huston over at Big Hollywood covers the problem, but as good as that post is he never covers the lefts obsession with projection.

The progressives believe that others view the world the way they do and therefore have the same motivations.  Evidence is irrelevant, facts are simply shouted down, inconvenient truths side stepped, and language redefined as circumstances require.  And while Huston is right that a true racist should be virtually incapable of hiding the real hate they feel towards someone or something just to put on a show, and incapable of liking Herman Cain to throw everyone off the racist scent, he never reminds us that the left has been hiding their racism for decades by projecting it onto any threat to their addiction to power.

Addicts can convince themselves of almost anything and the left is addicted to the power of central planning.  The Democrats accuse Republicans of wanting to end Medicare or of cutting off seniors yet is they who created the board to gut Medicare and Obama who defaults to "cutting" the only funding mechanism for Social Security when he wants to pretend he can cut taxes.

Democrats continue to re-write history to hide their parties racist record.  They use racism to end arguments they can’t win, to intimidate opposition they could never overcome; and to silence dissent they have been unable to regulate away with state power.

The word is so overused and so inappropriately that it is beginning to lose its power.  And perhaps that is the plan after all.  If you are part of a party with  history of racism, of identity politics and victim class warfare, robing the word of its power goes a long way to taking away the pain.  That is not to say that this is Gar-awful-oh’s purpose.  She is just a narrow minded  harpy shouting up from the bottom of the progressive ravine.  Short of amusing blog material, the best policy is to keep moving.

Nothing to see here.
