A GraniteGrok Endorsment – Herman Cain for the 2012 Presidential Primary

We here in NH are at Ground Zero of the Primaries that will help to select the next Republican nominee for President.  New Hampshireites take this responsibility seriously and demand that the prospective candidates  work the retail end of the political spectrum.  We have done likewise – we have gone to the big and small events.  We’ve watched and critiqued the debates.  We’ve gone to the Town halls, the outdoor events, and the intimate home events.  We’ve listened to the candidates and we’ve listened to other activists and citizens ask their questions.  Sure, we’ve heard the same stump speech over and over, and a lot of the questions as well.

In all that, we’ve studied the spoken nuances, discussed the issues and stances, and seen how they’ve done under pressure.  We’ve watched them be confident and we’ve watched them slip on the political bananas. In all this, we know that there is no perfect candidate.  That is life.

In short, we’ve done the homework that our Founders demanded that we all do – be informed citizens making the best decision as to who our representative should be given the times and the candidates.

We are endorsing Herman Cain to be the Republican nominee that will allow Barack Hussein Obama to experience the unemployment his policies have sustained.  We are choosing someone with a track record of accomplishment in the private sector where he shined through dint of hard work and perspiration and good decisions based on a thorough understanding of how to identify problems, resource options, and inspire others to fix the problem – and then do more.

We believe that he will carry forward the ideals of the TEA Party philosophy:

  • Fiscal responsibility (vs. Obama’s profligacy of the public Treasury)
  • Limited government and returning to a model of self-governance, individual Liberty & Freedom by a sovereign people (vs Obama’s vision of the unaccountable Progressive Administrative State where we become subjects)
  • Promoting  the Free Marketplace (vs. Obama’s continuing desire to make business nothing more than an extension of his Administration) and where companies will compete on the quality of their offerings (vs. Obama’s crony capitalism and over regulation)

In short, a repudiation of all that Obama stands for.  We believe that he has not just the skills to best Barack Hussein Obama in the upcoming election, but the skills to turn back on the lights that is America, that Shining City on the Hill.

Thus, we will be making the case for Herman in the coming months. And we do ask you for your vote for Herman when the primary happens here in NH or your state.

However, we will continue to do our videos of other candidates at events (if allowed) and put them up not in terms of advocacy but continuing our "citizen journalism" as we have done in the past – putting up the entire video so that you, our readers, can make your own informed decisions.
