Jim Demint’s Palmetto Freedom Forum

by Mike

On Monday September 5th, the Palmetto state hosted a presidential forum of a different kind. Rather than sound bites, the hosts engaged in a discussion and cross-examination of each candidate’s positions on critical issues.

The three panelists were: U.S. Senator Jim DeMint (R-SC), U.S. Representative Steve King (R-IA), and Dr. Robert P. George, founder of the American Principles Project and McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence at Princeton University. The event was moderated by David Stanton, a veteran of South Carolina presidential events and a well-known, respected former local news anchor.

The original was livestreamed on Ustream, but recorded video was a bit tricky to locate. The best recordings on YouTube so far are by Bluesc11, who graciously fixed a a problem which had prevented me from embedding the first segment. Enjoy!
