RINO OF THE WEEK REPORT

“Remember that a government big enough to give you everything you want is also big enough to take away everything you have.” ~Barry Goldwater

The RINO of the week is seven-term House Representative Priscilla P. Lockwood, Merrimack District 6. Rep. Lockwood’s voting record yet another rank statist consistently supporting, government spending, despite the deficits, advocacy for a mon-tiered educational system where parent choice is eliminated and pork spending for private limited interests. One commonality  amongst RINO’s is a collegiality for rank nanny-statism where respect for the in-tact family unit is all but non-existent. Ms. Lockwood was ranked by the New Hampshire House Republican Alliance with a score of 42% back in March. Like her fellow RINO’s she fell in lock step in her votes as shown below:

  • Voted against HB 125 a law that would support the right of the Granite State to regulate firearms within its sovereign borders as a state;
  •   Voted against HB474  Ending big labor’s ability to compel non-union workers to pay agency fees as a condition of employment;
  •  Voted against CACR 9 affirming that parental rights are a natural right; “Provides that parents have the natural right to control the health, education, and welfare of their children.”
  •  Voted against HB329 The parental notification bill;
  • ROTW_PRISCILLA_LOCKWOOD_7_22_11_GROK.gif

  •  Voted against HB147, the, “Kimberly Cates” Bill which expands the death penalty to murders committed during home invasions and burglaries.
  •  Voted against HB519  A bill repealing the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative…a a cap-and-trade system that has raised electricity prices, created a slush fund for the member states, and has no impact on reducing emissions.
  • Voted against HB133 to override the Governor’s veto of eliminating a state minimum wage. With the Federal minimum wage standard in place, a demonstrated preference for a Bay-state like statist wage mandate.
  • Voted Against SB67 (Committee of Conference) for a committee to study Vouchers and School Choice…Not surprising…Statists always advocate for rank bureaucracy and failing schools.

Representative Lockwood likely fancies herself a, “Moderate Republican” who enjoys the luxury of taking refuge under the enabling wing of  New Hampshire Republican’s still e-mailing me with angry protests decrying this as, “eating our own.”

The consistency of these RINO’s is “RINOism”…RINO’s concern themselves very little with what their constituents think…RINOism is about retaining power over serving the public who elects them. RINOism is the new elitism…RINOism. Representative Lockwood represents all of the above-stated values and because she does, She is this week’s RINO OF THE WEEK
