Another example of Democrat "Got Hate" from the past – from Ray Buckley (NH Dem Chair) to be exact – towards a GOLD STAR MOM! OK Mike Brunelle (Exec Dir of the NH Dems) and Harrell Kirstein (Press flack, same org), how are you going to explain this?
As a Blue Star Dad twice over, I take Veterans Day seriously – the Eldest is a Marine Iraq Vet and the Youngest is over in Afghanistan right now. So when I heard that Ray Buckley had released, as the NH Democrat Chair, a Presser concerning his concern towards our vets and serving military this year’s Veterans Day:
"Veterans Day is observed on November 11th, as a tribute to the official end of hostilities of World War I. Over 90 years after that monumental event, we continue to honor the countless American and Granite State citizens who put their lives on line to protect our freedoms, not only in that war but in each and every one that has followed.
"My thoughts are with all of the New Hampshire servicemen and women currently stationed in Iraq, Afghanistan, and numerous other countries around the globe. And we should also take a moment to remember their families and loved ones, as they endure the painful absence of someone very close to them to ensure our safety."
I knew, in my estimation, he was lying through his teeth. Oh, so pious, eh Ray? Yet, you had no problem insulting a Gold Star Mom, Debbie Lee, back in 2008 by commenting on the loss of her son, Marc Lee (the first Navy SEAL lost in Iraq), with the "wave off" by saying:
for a crass political race (Bradley vs Scold-Porter). That, plus your other actions, belie your words. I’m betting that you no more like the military and those that serve to protect us than you do the ‘Grok, you spineless, lying, weaselly lump of protoplasm masquerading as a human being!
Debbie Lee writes of the encounter:
At this point the man in charge of the debate came over and said we would need to take this outside. I could not believe what had just taken place. I knew I was wasting my time and started to walk away when the man I had the confrontation with told me "Your just being used by the campaign." Oh my goodness again, I can’t believe the antics of this idiot. He obviously doesn’t know that nobody uses me. I turn around and tell him "NOBODY uses me!" You don’t raise a son to be a Navy SEAL by having a character that is used by people. Unbelievable! As I approached the other Blues Star Moms and campaign staff that was there they asked what had just taken place. I retold the confrontation with the condescending, heartless man. They asked me to point him out. I was informed that his name was Ray Buckley and that he was the Chairman of the Democrat Party in NH. I was even more appalled that the man who had disgraced my son and insulted me was a high ranking official in the Democrat Party.
Right. Ray Buckley, on one hand issuing a platitude for a day and on the other hand, insulting a GOLD STAR MOM of a Navy SEAL just to protect your candidate, Carol Shea-Porter, who lied to a GOLD STAR MOM! Sure, say all the Politically Correct things for the day. None of us believe it.
So Mike and Harrell, how are YOU going to defend Ray on this? Supporting the troops – NOT!
