This Saturday, September 11, 2010, 700 NH National Guard members, from the 197th Fires Brigade, will begin a deployment to Kuwait in "Operation New Dawn", part of President Obama’s new, reduced scope and size mission in Iraq.
These "citizen soldiers" are about to give up a year away from their spouses, children, friends, and personal security. They are also putting their financial security at-risk, most of them taking a pay-cut while serving. I am a proud former-member of the NH’s 197th Field Artillery Brigade, and I wish my brothers safety, security, and strength.
Maybe you can spare a couple of hours?
