What About Bob? - Granite Grok

What About Bob?

What About Bob?Congressional Candidate Bob Bestani is what you might call a well-connected ruling class insider.  He has spent years as part of the evil international banking community and he is proud of his work for the Asian Development Bank (ADB).  According to his Campaign site Bio

Until May of 2008, Bob served as the Director General of Private Sector Finance at the Asian Development Bank, a multilateral bank dedicated to alleviating poverty in Asia. In the six years in which he served in that capacity, ADB’s private sector financings and earnings grew by over 40 times their 2001 levels, while portfolio quality and earnings steadily improved. Working closely with most of the countries of Asia, the Private Sector Department grew from the smallest of ADB’s departments to the largest and most successful operating unit of the ADB. In March of 2008 the Bank’s Board adopted private sector financings as the leading priority of the ADB for the years ahead.

So what’s the big deal?  Bob worked at a major international bank that is dedicated to alleviating poverty?  Well it seems to me that if you are going to use alleviating poverty to advance your political credibility people deserve to know the potential downside of how that actually plays out in the real world.

One of the ways the Asian Development Bank "Alleviates poverty" is through its continued support of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals.  For those unfamiliar, the UN’s Millennium Development Goals are anti-American, anti-free market, anti-state sovereignty and in some cases downright hostile to America and western civilization in general.  It is a path to a global socialist democracy with the morons at the UN—with the help of the international banking community and bureaucratic ruling classelites like Obama–deciding where the world’s wealth needs to go and who deserves what.

At the momeny plenty of that work is done through NGO’s and Non-profits associated with the MGD which are mostly left wing environmental and social justice groups who use MDG grants to advance their shared progressive agendas.  What are those agendas?

Here is the UN Milleniumm Declaration  (All other links are at the end of the post)

The global small and light arms/ (hand gun ban) and no more right to self-defense treaty

All must bend to the will of the International Court of Justice

The UN negotiates the terms of all international treaties

Complete Nuclear disarmament

UN controlled and negotiated trade treaties

Debt relief and forgiveness by western nations (As in America)

Mandatory Development aid or redistribution of wealth

The global Bill of Human rights (See Positive rights vs. negative rights)

Global family planning paid for by you–that’s abortion to you and me

A global poverty Tax on western nations–Global redistribution of wealth

There’s no such thing as illegal immigration—global open borders policy (directed at America)

Passage of Kyoto in all its economic destructive glory and a climate tax to offset environmental injustice–more redistributions of wealth

Law of the Sea–giving the UN control of ocean mineral rights leasing and oversight
Everything related to everything should eventually be managed and brokered by the UN, including your child’s education.

There’s more and it’s all bad for The Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.

Now as far as I can tell, Bob Bestani is not running on that platform, yet by growing ADB’s financial power, some 40 times according to him, he has more than done his part to help the Asian Development Bank advance the disaster that is the UN Millennium Development goals.  Should we cut him some slack? Maybe he didn’t realize.  Perhaps he was unintentionally complicit in this global attack on the American way of life; but is that better or worse than knowing what supporting the MDG means to the US, its sovereignty, and its future?

Bob will probably be able to clear all that Ruling-class, international banker supporting the UN MDG thing up at some point between now and the primary, but since he has accepted some campaign contributions from people overseas connected to ADB and the international banking regime since he left that job he can’t just say he has separated himself from it entirely.

Until then he can consider himself in good company (depending on whether you think it such).  Lobbyist Rich Ashooh’s support for ONE Vote back in 2008 ties his judgement  (intentionally or not) to the ONE Campaign which is a leader in redistributive social and environmental justice programs designed to help meet the UN’s MDG.
