Did not have a lot of time for blogging last week, so I have a few bookmarks that I’m going through right no a w. I watched this video and Friedman comes to the right conclusion: is the young man arguing about an absolute principle (the saving of a life) or simply some amount of money spent by a corporation?
It doesn’t help the young man’s argument when he proudly proclaims that he is a supporter of abortion and that not all life is sacred – yet that’s what’s he’s arguing because a large corporation is involved.
Friedman is right about which principle the young man is attacking:
- it is ALL about the right of consumers to make their own decisions about risks to be taken.
- Govt should provide courts for redress.
This is the essence of Free Markets and a proper role of government.
Sure – it is of a vintage that Michael Moore – and if you follow the link, there is a discussion concerning this – could have been the young fool subjecting himself to a real schooling. Be that as it may, be it Moore or not, the video stands on its own.
