Do the NH Democrats “get the message”?

by Skip

A couple of pithy messages from around the Righty blogosphere hit well the attitude of Conservatives this morning, but first this from the NH Republican Office demonstrating the absolute disdain for the opposition given that the Dems own the State (just like they DID in MA) (emphasis mine):

You can chalk up another one for “transparency in government” in the New Hampshire House of Representatives today.   In a private, closed-door, session in Concord, Speaker Terie Norelli brought together House Democrats on both the Joint Legislative Committee on Administrative Rules and the Ways & Means committee for a private briefing on the LLC tax with Revenue Commissioner Kevin Clougherty.

By ignoring the Republicans who serve their constituents on those vital committees, Speaker Norelli is telling the people of New Hampshire that their opinion doesn’t count in this matter.  Rep. Norelli is supposed to be the speaker of the entire House, but it is clear through this move that she considers herself the speaker of only House Democrats,” said Rep. David Hess (r-Hooksett), the Deputy House Republican Leader.

In sending an email only to Democrats on the committees, Speaker Norelli said that the update “should be very informative and helpful to us [Democrats] at this point in the session.”

“Apparently the speaker doesn’t feel that the issue is important enough to include all legislators on the committees,” added House Republican Leader Sherm Packard (r. Londonderry).  “I find it interesting that while Commissioner Clougherty cannot find the time to ‘brief’ the public in the southern tier of the state, and has refused numerous requests to do so; he did manage to find time to be a part of this secret meeting.”

Oh Terie, dear?  The following messages should be for you – AND for Governor John "Do Nuttin’" Lynch who enables this behavior; first, Moe Lane from RedState:

This message goes out to every vulnerable Democratic Congressman representing a Republican or even centrist district – and after tonight, who among you is not vulnerable? It is a simple message: we can do this the easy way, or we can do it the hard way. The easy way is, you suddenly decide that you have a burning desire to spend more time with your families. So you don’t run for re-election, you walk off stage technically undefeated, and you go join a lobbying firm. The hard way is, you do run for re-election, and we pry you out of your seats.

We want to do this the hard way. We will enjoy doing it.

That’s your only warning. And remember: nobody is going to be able to save you. If the President, the DSCC, the DCCC, the DNC, the SEIU, ACORN, and the netroots couldn’t manage a win in Massachusetts… what do you think that they can do for you?

Guess what, it works well at the State level as well. And yes, WE WILL!  Michael Graham from Massachusetts (and whose radio show reaches into NH) says this over at NRO:

For at least five minutes, we stood looking at each other in disbelief. Some people kept looking at the TV looking for confirmation from AP. Could it be true?

Finally it sank in. The cheering began to subside, and then came the cry: “Who’s next?”

Another roar, and then came the names: Kerry, Frank, and loudest of all Gov. Deval Patrick.

These people have had their first taste of political success in a long time. They feel hope again, for the first time in years. And they’re spoilin’ for another brawl in the Bay State.

And not just in the Bay State – there are a lot of Granite Staters that are now on the hunt for their pound of flesh.

Carol Shea-Porter, Paul Hodes, Governor Lynch, Speaker Norelli?  The bell tolls for thee…

We reject the socialistic bent of you Progressive elites, preferring instead, the much more infinite wisdom of the Founders who placed individual freedom and liberty of choice (that you reject) above that of your Nanny State (which you embrace) in which you would have rule over us (for you believe you know what is best of us – what hubris!).

Think you’re afraid of guns in the Gallery of the State House, or on State House environs? Our political guns have been unholstered, magnum ammo loaded, and the hammers cocked.  Just wait…..for we shall turn those political guns into ballots and your political careers, as you know them, may end.

You may wish to take safe harbor in one of Monty Python’s most famous lines:

RUN AWAY!  RUN AWAY!

now.
