Dope of the Week - Sal DiCiccio

Well, it is time to haul out the Dope of the Week award and dust off the dust - to an Arizona based Nanny Stater.  Yup, one more politician that Knows Better Than The Rest Of Us How To Help The Poor; the story from Phoenix that the City Council decided that they would no longer allow:

churches to feed the destitute

via zoning laws (just in time for Thanksgiving!).  The 'Grok has often wailed against the "professionalization of charity" that is running rampant in today's society.  What this shows is yet another incremental step of ungraciously telling traditional charitable organizations to "butt out".

Free meals for the hungry?  Not by this church in that town!  The hungry thank you, Sal!
