MTNP Radio. It's our DUTY as citizens to stay informed...

old radio

Starting Saturday morning at 9 am!

As usual, this week's broadcast version of GraniteGrok and Now!Hampshire.com brings an array of items and guests for your consideration-- ALL STARTING AT 9AM! Thanks to the technical wizardry and analytical skills of Skip, if you are beyond the broadcast area of Newstalk 1490 WEMJ, simply click here for instructions on how to connect and listen on the Internet via livestream. (Podcasts here)

Once again this week you can WATCH us at our USTREAM.TV feed by clicking here. Check it out. Do we really have faces for radio? (Or voices for newspapermen bloggers?)

Live Broadcast by Ustream.TV

  • Ovide Lamontagne is now officially a candidate for the Republican nomination for the US Senate seat to be vacated by Judd Gregg. After serving as Chairman of the NH State Board of Education from 1993-1996, he was the 1996 Republican nominee for governor of New Hampshire.  Today, he practices law at Devine, Millimet & Branch, P.A., and is a recognized leader in the charitable and non-profit communities, having been honored in June of this year as New Hampshire’s Distinguished Citizen of the Year by the Daniel Webster Council – Boy Scouts of America. He will join us for the full first hour to chat the issues of the day, take phone calls, and tell us why he is the best choice for Republicans against the probable Democrat nominee Paul Hodes.

  • Doug and Skip discuss the attack at Fort Hood in Texas. You would think there would be more shock and outrage over an attack on American soil at one of the largeste military bases in the world. How often have such things happened in the entire history of our Nation? Hasan was simply copying the blueprint as laid out by Osama bin Laden. Don't worry, though- this is nowhere near as scandalous as Tailhook...

  • State bails out Claremont newspaper? What's next?

  • Jeb Bradley. At the start of the week, NH Republicans, led by State Senator Jeb Bradley, with help from John Stephen, fired a shot across the bow of National Democrats in (rightfully) denouncing the House-passed health care "reform" bill. Attendees at the Monday morning press conference in Concord learned that estimates of the costs of what is being dubbed "Pelosicare" to New Hampshire citizens over a 10-year period is some 1.2 billion dollars which, we were warned, would almost certainly lead us to a broad-based tax. To that end, Jeb announced two measures he will introduce for the 2010 legislative session. Both pieces of legislation will protect New Hampshire taxpayers from the cost of federal health care reform and provide New Hampshire residents and business owners with greater access to affordable health insurance sold in other states. Bradley’s legislation has become more timely and necessary with last weekend's Saturday evening passage of healthcare legislation by the U.S. House of Representatives. We'll get the scoop from Jeb.

  • And of course, ===============>> Your calls are encouraged at 603-527-1490.

WHEW! It all starts at 9AM EST Saturday. Tune in if you're in Central NH at NewsTalk 1490AM WEMJ or live on the 'Net here... The results are in. MTNP Radio BLOWS AWAY the competition!
