UPDATE: Just getting home from a long evening meeting (yeah, a political junkie out on an election night – and NOT at a political celebration / sorrow event!
Congratulations to Lynne! Looks like her opponent is going to get a recount but even with that, it is great to see that she, a Republican in Liberal City, did that well!
Also, kudos to our friends at the NH Advantage Coalition and all its partners and supporters for defeating ALL that outside-the-state money, brought in by like of Lefty Granite State’s Zandra Rice-Hawkins and the Government dependent unions.
Unfortunately, here in the Laconia area, Roland Maheu was not successful in his run for the School Board.

Here’s who you need to consider in today’s special election for NH House of Representatives if you have not yet voted: Lynne Blankenbeker.

We had her on the show this past Saturday - I’ve brought that part of the podcast forward:
Lynne Blankenbeker joins us by phone as she continues her canvassing in Concord as she seeks to be the next NH House Rep in her district (she is running against a RINO who finally switched to his natural party – the ‘Grok says "good riddance"). That said, the Democrats have only themselves to blame if she wins – their votes to repeal NH’s Parental Notification law riled this nurse / lawyer / veteran / Reservist so that she decided to teach them a lesson! For a Conservative, what’s not to like:
- Against Big Government
- Does not support an Income Tax or a Sales Tax.
- Would like to see local control of education.
- Against a National Healthcare Plan.
- Does not support a seat belt or helmet law.
- Opposes the current NH law that allows minors to have abortions without parental notification.
- Pro Small Business
- Supports the State’s right to govern itself as enumerated in the Constitution.
- Dedicated to Veteran’s issues
If you live in her District, please vote for Lynne! My words not enough? Take a listen: Part 1 Part 2
She certainly would be our pick (as opposed to the Republican that switched to the Democrat Party, Jim Mackay). While this is not a NY-23 moment, it IS of importance if you believe that the Democrats are spending and taxing away our NH Advantage. Her signature issue, Parental Notification, goes to the heart of the matter:
Who is in charge of our kids – Parents, or the ever encroaching State?
Lynne is for Parents – I guess that means her opponent is for more and more Statism. After all, doesn’t the State (and the Party now running it) know better than you do what’s in the best interest of YOUR kids?
"it’s for the children!!" – vote for Lynne!
