« Impending Train Wreck: Pelosicare to Cost NH 1.2 Billion Dollars in 10 Years | Main | Obama: "I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.” »

Buckles tries again...FAIL

As Doug has posted here, Jeb Bradley and John Stephen had a Presser today in Concord.  In effect, it was a NH Republican shot across the Socialist Ship of State known as the Obama Administration.  It seemingly hit, and hit well - it certainly raised the ire of one Ray "Buckles the Clown" Buckley, the erstwhile leader of the local ring of Socialist Democrats here in NH.  After all, one can tell the hit level by the amount of froth dripping down his chin!

Heck, this has been his M.O. from this past August when Jack Kimball (his revamped campaign site is here) announced his Exploratory for the Republican nomination for Governor; Buckles had this to say:

"Until recently it would have been difficult to take a person like Jack Kimball seriously as the Republican candidate for governor of NH but not any longer. With the rapid decline of the NH Republican Party,  Kimball speaks for what is left of the tattered minority party, Kimball represents their radical agenda without question. Inspired by the rants of  Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh the radical fringe that control's the minority party will embrace Kimball's candidacy. It is clear that Sununu is assembling a terrific 2010 ticket for another Democratic landslide."

After last week, I think it not hard to believe that NH Republican is now in ascendancy:

  • Lynne Blankenbeker's win as a NH House rep (a very conservative Republican now from that liberal bastion of Concord - who'da thunk it?)
  • NHAC's tax cap (the very model of conservative philosophy) acceptance by a solid majority of its citizens in the overwhelmingly Democrat city of Manchester (as shown, sadly, by the number of Democrat alderman)

Jack IS a conservative guy; what Buckles believes to be the tattered minority is still what polls show to be the mainstream of American politics - after all, Rasmussen is now showing that 58% of Americans believe that the next President may well be a Republican.  Add this: given the total domination of the Democrats and the unions running the State of California into the group, people are getting rid to pitch the Dems away (as reported by NBC, no less!):

Robert Smith has a message for politicians: Grow up.

ROBERT SMITH, CALIFORNIA RESIDENT: Your kids don’t think there’s an end to your pockets, that you can just reach in and pull the money out. And the government seems to be the same way.

JANSING: Chris Jansing, NBC News, Camarillo, California.

Yeah, this confirms the perceptions that with absolute power, Democrats continue to act like the immature teenagers that have snuck out with Daddy's AmEx card - Yo Dad, you are going to absolutely LOVE this bill that is coming to a mailbox near you Real Soon Now!

It seems that his frothing is going to continue - conservative NH Republicans are finally pouring out of the woodwork to take on the Dems for elected office: Guinta, Kimball, Lamontagne, Giuda, Horne, Bestani, and others.  For the first time, it may be the case of "my cup runneth over"!

Today's announcement of ABSOLUTELY needed healthcare reforms here in NH  by Jeb, backed up by John Stephen, is significant for several reasons:

  • It seems that one of the most hotly contested races of last season has finally ended - supporters on both sides should and need to bury the political hatchets (psst - turning your targeting eyes upon Buckles might be a great idea!)
  • Jeb has turned out to be a great conservative State Senator since the special election (I still shudder as to what Bud "Bathroom" Bud would have wrought upon us) - this Superbowl of an idea only adds to that!
  • From my perspective these two pieces of legislation accomplish much in advancing the TEA Party ethos - they enhance individual Freedom (with more choice) and Liberty by standing atop the gunwales and saying "No further!" to an imperialistic and Socialistic Federal Government led by that Marxist cohort whose local leadership is Carol Shea-Porter AND Paul Hodes
  • It is a BOLD statement, a line in the sand, to Carol Shea-Porter AND Paul Hodes (the main NH cheerleader and supporter, respectfully).  This chuckleheaded attempt by Pelosi, Reid, and Obama's to blow up NH's sovereignty and wreaking havoc on our already stressed budget by cost-shifting their monstrosity of a healthcare bill onto the backs of NH taxpayers.
  • Did I mention Freedom and Liberty?  Do those words, as defined by our Founders, EVER pass by the lips of Carol Shea-Porter and Paul Hodes?  I think I would have heard such if they had (er, I'm not THAT deaf yet!)...
  • At one fell swoop - Freedom to purchase insurance anywhere, the Liberty from exercising States Rights!

So, when Buckles ever came out with his next limp missive, you know I just had to do a fisking on it! Buckles's blitherings are after the jump - let the fisking and snark begin!

Press Release - Today, the Chairman of the New Hampshire Democratic Party, Ray Buckley, issued a statement on the press conference held by John Stephen, Jeb Bradley, and state Republicans.

And such a shining example of a leader he is!  Given THIS behavior, I think I could put him into the extreme edge of the political spectrum as well - and add the social.  Mainstream?  Hardly!

"Once again, the Republican Party has proven they will say anything to derail meaningful health insurance reform.

Yeah, talking facts is certainly ridiculous, ain't it? your Dear Leader started off with healthcare reform; seeing that The One couldn't find traction for his plain Socialist plan so he had to reduce it to his Community Organizer - Alinsky thug tactics by going after the insurance companies.  Yeah, with the 2% profit margin (I don't even think Buckles knows what that is), they aren't the ogres that Medicare is - it turns that Medicare denies more people treatment than all of the top commercial insurance companies combined (and toss in about $60 Billion of fraud every year too!).

Here's a picture (he's so cartoonish, I figure that colors might mean more to him than letters:

Medicare denies more claims

Hey Buckles!  Go tell CSP, Hodes, and Shaheen to go fix what they own instead of destroying what actually works!  Give us Freedom - throw off the shackles limiting citizen choice!

Throughout this process, they have continually spread misinformation about the proposals in Congress in an effort to obstruct progress on this very important issue.

Go ahead, Buckles, prove me wrong!  I've already blown away several other Lefty NH bloggers in this realm here on the 'Grok - they've either failed or couldn't take the heat.

"Now, they have even raised the specter of an income tax in an effort to scare the people of New Hampshire and prevent the passage of this important legislation.

Sorry dud dude - YOUR Susan Almy started this up spector - with its attendent FAIL.  As we saw from NH Watchdog - her ballyhooed "Tax Summit" boomeranged on her; looking for a reason for enacting a broadbased tax, she only broadly smacked around.

Note to the clueless - Jeb's not trying to PREVENT any legislation from being passed - he's going to get HIS passed!

What is really scary is that 143,000 Granite Staters do not have health insurance and thousands more are struggling with costs that are spiraling out of control.

Once again, you can thank the Democrat Jeanne Shaheen (remember SB 711?) (along with Lynch and a few Republicans) for effectively shutting down the competitive insurance marketplace.

Buckles - it's just like a clown like you to claim that only the Dems can fix a problem for which they are responsible for in the first place!

After all, you are the ones that will put citizens in jail for up to 5 years with a $250,000 fine if they don't purchase Obamacare - thanks Carol and Paul!  Nice of you to want to give us a room with 3 squares a day - and a new roomie - Bubba!

"The historic legislation passed by Congress this weekend is an important step forward.

Interesting how you define "progress" - over 3,000 "shalls" and mandates and regulations (along with $1.4 to $2.8 Trillion more in debt) cast down upon citizens from a Legislative body that has so nicely exempted itself from the law it so easily foists upon the rest of us.

That's not progress - that's fascism! Government controlling smaller and smaller parts of our lives.

Almost all of the costs to states are covered in the House bill, and we are confident that a final bill will not lead to an increased burden on states.

Sure - tax us for 4 years before the "benefits"/spending kick in for an accounting gimmick - and let's not forget the $250 Billion the Dems are hiding off bill for NOT applying the cuts in reimbursements to doctors now!

Tell me Buckles, can a crew that can't even run Cash For Clunkers or a relatively small part of healthcare (the swine flu vaccine program) even BEGIN to correctly forecast future cost?  Never has it ever happened in the past; it has ALWAYS been off by MULTIPLES.  Just the fact that the Medicare "bar" will be raised from our 68% or so to multiples of that.  Your Dems here in NH can't balance the budget NOW - there is NO WAY you can tell me with a straight face you believe this is doable...

...oh wait, you just did......Does being Ray Buckley mean you never have to say you're sorry and wrong?

"Jeb Bradley, John Stephen, and the Republican party should be ashamed for deliberately trying to mislead the people of New Hampshire.

Again, I challenge you, oh blustery one, to a blog debate!  Better yet, come on the show! Mislead?  Nay, you blitherer - giving us more Freedom!

They should apologize to the 143,000 Granite Staters who leave every day with the fear their families will be decimated by the enormous cost of healthcare.

Then get rid of the Con Board!  Let places like WalMart and CVS and Rite Aid and the like open up low cost walk-in clinics.  Take away the regulations and restrictions and you can have FAR better and far CHEAPER healthcare WITHOUT a Trillion dollars!

One would think that at some point the Republican party would stop being the party of no and start participating in addressing the concerns of the people.

You guys can't handle the truth - you guys can stand the Freedom!  I've sprinkled a number of additional things that would help - you Dems don't have the stones to try it!

"The party of No". Funny, they wore that tag with "pride" during the Bush years.
