About my remarks...

Following today's MTNP Radio program, while the webcam was still streaming, I unleashed on a rant against NHDP chair Ray Buckley. Reacting to the fact that today is his birthday, and that a national gay rights group would be on hand to celebrate it--and the role he played in getting gay marriage passed in NH-- I made a play to the camera that was watched and reported on by an online media outlet.

To be blunt, what I said is something that never should have been said in any kind of a public setting, or, quite frankly, in a private one either. Being human, and an honest person that is used to freely speaking my mind, my passion got the best of me. Politically correct? Nah, that's not my style. Calling people names, THAT'S usually not my style, either, as I prefer to debate the issues in a battle of ideas.

I would like to apologize to Ray Buckley and those whom I may have offended for my unfortunate remarks following this morning’s program. There is no excuse for the tone or language I used to characterize Ray or anyone for that matter.  I would also like to apologize to my guests, my co-hosts, the folks at WEMJ, and the readers of the Grok.  I care deeply about my family, my state and my country. My sole reason for having this show is to shed light on just how quickly our country is being led down the wrong path. My remarks were not helpful to protecting the rights and the freedoms I fight for everyday.

"Yeah you Faggot. That's right I said it and I meant it. You are reprobate. How the people, the Democrats, I think of some of the gray haired ladies and older people from the old party would stand behind you is beyond me. You are a disgrace to yourself to humanity to mankind and to your party. "Other than that Happy Birthday Ray and many more -- not," You said that you meant it. That's a bit more than a mistake. You can't really just apologize for such a tirade. The correct thing to do is resign.
What a thoroughly self-serving and qualified apology. Way to own your error; tell us what a great guy you are while apologizing. "Being human, and an honest person..." "calling people names, THAT'S not usually my style..." and then we finish up with a testimonial as to why you are so valuable... "I care deeply about my family, my state and my country. My sole reason for having this show is to shed light on just how quickly our country is being led down the wrong path. My remarks were not helpful to protecting the rights and the freedoms I fight for everyday." Are you truly ashamed and remorseful, or are you just fearful of the consequences of your hateful actions? Resign, and preserve what dignity you still have after that little outburst.
By your actions, you shall be known. Claiming that your passion got the best of you is disingenuous. It would appear that you let your guard down ~ and said what you really think, and what you really meant. And, after someone called you out on it, you realized that what you really think, and what you really meant demonstrates you're an abusive, mean, and petty person. True Colors ... shining through.
Your "passion" got the better of you? No, Doug, your bigotry got the better of you. And had your words not been passed on to Daily Kos, would we have gotten this apology at all? The apology itself is hugely revealing. You seem to believe the issue is about your tone and language and how they offended others, when in fact the issue is what is in your heart. Now that we in fact know from your own words what is in your heart, you will be forever judged on that basis, regardless of the tone and language you use to discuss gay rights or any other issue. Whatever causes you wish to see promoted are now permanently tainted if you are the one who promotes them. You have no honorable choice now but to leave the net and the air waves. Resign.
It is difficult for me to understand how calling someone a reprobate - which means "rejected by God", right? - and a disgrace to humanity could be purely in the heat of the moment. I mean, asserting that you know the judgment of God on an individual soul? It seems at least like a somewhat of a thought-through comment rather than something that was totally off-the-cuff. In the past I've been skeptical of the assertion by some that most people opposing gay marriage do so out of hatred for gays and lesbians, but your words have made me reconsider that.
Doug, It's hard to know the real motivation behind your apololgy. Guests on your show don't want to be associated with this type of overt bigotry, that's for sure. Anyway I'm not going to second guess you on your sincerity. I'm sure you'll give that a lot of thought in the coming days. What's not in dispute is that this incident has demonstrated what bloggers like me have been writing for a long time--that bigotry is on the rise in New Hamphsire's conservative blogosphere. I've also made the point that this type of hatred is likely to lead to violence sooner or later. It already has in other states and it's only a matter of time before it does here. Usually the bigotry is coded somehow, but you took the ambiguity out of it. Whenever I mentioned bigotry and a violent undercurrent there is an loud outcry from my detractors. I think this may put the matter to rest. I hope your better angels guide you to more tolerence and understanding in the future.
Could it be that Doug's statement sounded thought out for a reason...It was... and maybe not because he means it, but rather wanted others to hear it...If the media (new media included) has shown us anything it is this; publicity, any publicity is good...In this case Doug simply states what many on the far right believe thus giving him more credibility and popularity on his side. Further, he offends and sets off outrage from others who oppose him as evidenced by the fact that there are more posts about this than anything else I've ever seen on this blog. Praise from his side, outrage in the media and blogosphere and the spotlight on his blog and radio show. Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Al Franken and Michael Moore (to choose some from each side) have proven that outrage and extremism sells products and gains attention...Heck, it got me to post a comment! Nicely done...
No need to apologize! Buckley deserves everything he gets in the way of 'hate' thrown back at him. If he can't cope with a little name calling about his behavior then it's too bad...he dished it out for years but can't take it! (And look where it got him, the rest of the hate mongers at the NHDP elected this suspected chickenhawk their fearless leader! Which shows you how much conscience THEY HAVE, NOT) What goes around comes around. There isn't enough room here in this little comment box to list all the hateful nasty and untoward things Buckley has done all his life is there now? Including harassment of people families, little old ladies, midnight threats and phone calls, the works. Notice I did not mention 'gay'? And aside from having invented the political dirty trick here in NH, I suppose going to Amsterdam to cruise the sex shops with the anticipation of screwing underaged boys is really honorable too, including imitating how they aim to please you, on video, with the usual four letter words, for all to see and hear, and then suggesting the town should have been bombed as well? And I ask you, should we care if we are 'bigoted' against people who go after CHILDREN? Since when do we have to tolerate that? Like I said, what goes around comes around..and isn't that hideous Bruce person the woman who was also censured for her big mouth? LOL She should talk about being hateful. She was practicing up on his tactics. Pot Kettle Black By the way Daily Kos and Blue Hampshire block anyone who doesn't post what they like. I suggest you block these morons above here too. When BH and Kos wanna spew the hate, they don't want anyone to get in their way. Buckley's horrific past behaviour just makes it all the easier to dislike him as a person..so there is a lot to dislike about him....using the gay excuse is just that, an excuse. This is a despicable person for PLENTY OTHER reasons.
Addendum: I have a scan of a yellow card here that Buckley MAILED to thousands of people in Manchester, which MADE FUN OF A MAN BECAUSE HE LIKED WOMEN. Yes that's right fols, no political criticisms of the man, just made fun of him because, he said he liked women! HE MADE FUN OF HIM BECAUSE HE WAS STRAIGHT!!!!!!!!!! So, I guess THIS is a non-issue.
Has Buckley apologized for his rude and crude behavior we've had to watch on the Internet? This is the person the Democrats choose for their spokesperson? I wouldn't trust Buckley around young boys, that's for sure!
I predicted there'd be backlash after the gay extremists (fascists) pushed their extreme agenda on NH residents. I predicted that people would push back!! I predicted that by forcing their fascism on NH voters, people would get angry and fight back. Doug lost his cool. That's unfortunate. There's a better way to deal with fascists like Buckley and the gay activists pushing their garbage on the rest of us. But that wont stop them. They will seek to destroy you now. That's how fascists work. You have to figure out ways to fight fascism but you have to be politically correct in the process!
I find Buckley to be a disgusting pig. I saw him on video and it's clear he's a sicko. Yet the Democrats have him as their representative. Double standard? I'd say so.
"MAY" have offended? As a lifelong Republican - and a gay man - I find your so-called 'apology' just as big an insult as your original hate-filled diatribe. You do not display any real sorrow - you have just said the minimum you think you needed to say, and then continued to launch into a world-is-collapsing-because-of-gays innuendo. What you have done is ripped open a war for the heart and soul of the Republican Party in NH - and I intend on fighting back with every ounce I have in me.
Thank you "NH" for making my point. You (whoever you are) spread your infected ideas every day on the blogosphere. Democrats and gays are fascist this and fascist that. This type of bigotry isn't just gender oriented. To you every democrat is a mortal enemy. Of course you are coward and never lend your own name to your words. I'm hoping that your words are spread near and far this time. Thanks for an early Christmas gift.
Apology accepted. I know you personally, so I know that this sounds like an instance where you just lost your cool momentarily. It doesn't help the cause, but I know that sometimes things get said in the heat of the moment that we wish later on we can take back. You just gotta remember that Buckley is not worth the time of day to worry over. We're winning.
You say "there is no excuse" -- you are correct, but there *is* an explanation, and in fact only one. Shocker, I tell you. Who'da thunk it -- a conservative closet bigot? If you think you can treat people as normal humans who you call "faggots" even in the *back* of your mind, much less out loud, you're simply lying to yourself. And in discussions of related policy such as gay marriage, your protested "honesty" is, to say the least, compromised.
Proulx, I have no idea who you are. Why doesn't Buckley ever have to apologize for the things HE does to hurt people? But you would never address that, would you. Maybe people just dislike him period... nothing to do with being gay. It has to do with the fact that he's always been someone just out to harm others, really harm them... with more than words. Like bashing another man because he made a comment that he likes women. Say what? Isn't that they same thing? And I never even used the word 'fascist' anywhere in my post at all and I did not blame anyone for anything except what I specified... So please stop lying. I think you have my post mixed up with someone else's below it. And I am talking about this offensive video, for which he never apologized... saying we should have bombed some other country, foul language, etc. etc. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8koUKOknMhM And since Buckley is guilty of the reverse, the indignation you feign is not worth addressing. At least this guy apologized when he was told he 'offended'. Yours NEVER has.. Instead you encourage his hatred and elevate him for it. You should stop pushing your luck, really.
All you did was let the inner bigot in you out for everybody to see. Tens of thousands of lives were saved in WW II because of a homosexual by the name of Alan Turing who invented a computer that allowed the allies to decode the messages sent to the German u-boats which in turn allowed "the hunted to become the hunter" and millions of tons of war goods reached Europe and Russia and helped to defeat Hitler and the Nazis. Turing committed suicide after the war because he was being prosecuted for being who he was i.e. a gay man. As a straight man I would urge to drop the hate speech and go and do something with your life rather try to be the next Rush Limbaugh. BTW Rush is gay too.
To “MomwithABrain” – you don’t have one. You’re an idiot who equates homosexuality with pedophilia, which is 100% incorrect. To “GetOVERit” – since when are equal rights an “extreme agenda?” And to Doug – you ignorant bastard. When you spew hatred, you breed contempt and fear among the easily swayed. Maybe you should just resign and leave some “dead air” in the place where you would otherwise be talking. It would sound much nicer.
We've come to expect nothing more from the morally bankrupt GOP. I'd never heard about this asshat before today and have no doubt he'll soon pass into obscurity soon with the rest of the bigoted GOP. You should go one better than resign...Go kill yourself instead. We need the oxygen for intelligent life forms here, NOT the reprehensible pieces of filth like you.
It is you who are the disgrace. Funny how you went on this passion-fueled tirade after Buckley was off the air and unable to respond... Also, I have come to believe that those who equate Democrats and gays to fascists a) don't know what a fascist is and b)failed History. Good day, I hope you find it in you to be more empathetic to a group of Americans who are persecuted daily for being who they are.
May you one day be blessed with a gay child. You too, MomWithoutABrain. Homosexuality does not equal pedophilia. If you look at the stats, the overwhelming majority of pedophiles are heterosexual. And of the homosexual variety, rarely do any out-of-the-closet gays commit crimes of that nature. Go to familywatchdog.us, look up the child molesters, and you tell me how many of them you think are openly gay or are even gay to begin with. Good luck finding one.
I get it, Doug apologizes for verbally attacking Buckley (which is immoral) and yet the gays on this thread have YEt TO apologize for their perverted immoral behavior. At least Doug apologized! Isn't it odd that the gays are now finding morality?? For "name calling"? They find moral HIGH ground when it comes to "name calling", but misses the same righteousness when it comes to sexual perversions!
Bigot (immoral) = Bad............................ Sexual Pervert (immoral)= GOOD
DELETED DUE TO CONTENT
Fuck you and your apology.
Heather - Apologize to whom and for what? And please be specific. I'm dying to hear what it is that you'd like an apology for. I'm gay and today I cleaned my gutters, walked my dogs, and raked leaves. Why is it that when you think of gay people, you automatically think of nothing but a sexual act? We're humans just like you. We love, live, and laugh even in spite of people like Mr. Lambert and yourself.
When I was regularly blogging on here several years ago, I was constantly attacked and called names unfit to print. Why? Because I believe marriage should be exclusively between a man and a woman. Both Doug and Skip were always chivalrous men who treated me with the utmost respect. Buckley has attacked me personally in writing with statements unfit to print. His diatribe on Utube turned my stomach as it should anyone who cares about vulnerable children and don't believe Buckley should spread his filth toward them. Yep, he never apologized so that should say something about his character or should I say his lack thereof. Gay or straight, the man is simply a two-faced, double standard, disgusting, hypocritical person. The fact that the DP have him as their leader says alot about them as well. Since I would never throw Doug under the bus either (as Skip has mentioned) as he is also my friend, I, (unlike others)accept his apology as I know the man. Because I know him, I'm certain he's suffering greatly for what he said as, unlike Buckley, Doug actually has a heart and a conscience and I'm certain he's doing alot of soul searching. The bigger picture here is that unwillingness to forgive or accept an apology is what keeps our society so dysfunctional. Nothing ever ends and begins anew for most people who have made any mistake...and I'd venture to say that's all of us. Unfortunately, it's why many people are stuck in their past and unable to move on and live in the present. But for the grace of God go I...and going out on a limb here, I'd say all of you too. Doug, I love you, man and my prayers are with you during this very difficult time...and with you too, Skip and both of your families.
You anti-same sex marriage folk deny it is about bigotry and hate. Thanks Doug for proving them wrong. Your comments prove it is about bigotry and hate.
Putney, Then, you agree, that Buckley's attacks, name calling, etc. and making fun of a man who loves women about bigotry and hate? What about Buckley pursuing children? What's that about? What about the hateful diatribe by a gay man who literally cornered Skip and Doug several years ago in the studio after they treated him with nothing but respect on the air about? If you're going to harshly judge those of us who are proponents of marriage only between a man and a woman, shouldn't you apply the same criteria to homosexual's who do the same thing and worse?
To Skip Hi Skip. Just read your column today and you are right to stand by your friend. I would do the same in a parallel situation. I've always thought of you as kind of a "happy warrior" ( kind of like Joe Biden, forgive me--lol) That's based on some phone conversations we've had and watching you on TV. Doug, as you note, plays it near the edge. Actually I've always thought he was way over the edge. When Hillary Clinton was running ( I supported her) Doug was comparing her to Adolph Hitler. Remember "Heil Hillary?" I can't tell you how offenseive that was. To support his argument Doug drew attention to the similarities of hand gestures between Hillary and Hitler. I can't tell you how disturbing that was. Yet no one over here took issue with Doug. You told me that Doug was a world war II buff. Well I am too. Yet Doug perpetuated the myth that Hitler was a socialist. One of the great political divides of the twentieth Century took place in the run up to WWII as the fascist took power in Germany and Italy and Spain. Fascists were the mortal enemy of socialist and communists. The left and right were violently divided. Is Doug's version of history clouded by ideology and hate? I don't know, but all you have to do is read the "Dems are fascists" comments above to see where this has led. Stick by your friend, but take a close look at what is happening. This is not about political correctness.
As the old saying goes, two wrongs don't make a right. What Doug said was wrong, but the repetitive personal attacks on him are not any better than what he said about Buckley. I don't expect that any of you cowards will apologize to Doug for your suggestions that he should die and has no moral character. As someone who has known Doug for a long time, I know that his beliefs are not based on hate or bigotry. It is unfortunate that this one mistake has tainted his political career because Doug did a lot of good to further the fiscal conservative movement in NH.
Doug has apologized. I don't like the tone of his comments either. What he said was a personal attack and that is uncalled for in any situation. He apologized. Why must so many see the need to dwell on comments and throw the same attitude you are condemnmng back at him? Do you not see the foolishness here? It would seem that many of you hurling the anger and insults are folks who normally protest for Tolerance. Why should he be "fired"? Have you ever said or done anything wrong? Have you ever done something you regret? If I was fired everytime I spoke off cuff and let anger build, I would have a hard time supporting my family. It's something I wrestle with and work out in my life. Show yourselves to be the tolerant people you claim to be and accept his apology, move on. Heck if you want to harbor anger in your heart you don't even have to forgive him but are there no other more important tasks to be working on? As for the "reprobate" comment. All sin is detestable to God. It doesn't matter if that sin is anger and a hateful heart, homosexuality or cheating (even "just a little") on your taxes, etc. It is all detestable and we all have wicked hearts. Doug's comment, in my mind, falls in the category of sin because it was a hurtful, angry comment where he showed no self control. It was wrong, he admitted it and apologized. That doesn't change the fact that sin is sin (the Bible is clear on that) and the agenda pushed by the radical homosexual movement is unhealthy for society, goes against God's will and is sin. I would hope Doug would have the same anger towards any sin but this is one sin that organizations are working hard to promote, remove the sin label and push as "healthy". God's love is available to everyone no matter which sin you have committed (and we are all sinners, and all sin is equally weighed in God's economy). That is the most unfortunate aspect of Doug's remarks to me. Not that he used a non politically correct word but that he showed that attitude to someone that Christ hung on a cross for. Rather than be mad at my friend, Doug, I accept his apology, forgive him (after all, I was forgiven much myself in my own life) and pray that folks have a better look at themselves before throwing stones at Doug.
GraniteGrok needs to take a break from it all and refresh it’s mind. Your comments on this website shows that there is something terribly wrong with how you think on a daily basis. To be able to come up with all the hate towards other people that you have been doing, I don’t think that any of you are getting the rem sleep that you need. Go see a doctor and get something to help you get your minds back to somewhat normal thinking. The fuzzy, cloudy thinking has got to stop or you will all ruin your life to the extent that it cannot be repaired. STOP AND THINK BEFORE YOU SAY ANYMORE!!!
Well, John, I guess I need you to define what you see as "normal thinking" and you also need to define ""fuzzy, cloudy thinking" as I'm sure I'm not the only one who has absolutely no clue what you mean as you haven't provided any specifics. People have very different opinions about what "normal" means as it's mostly based on their own experiences, beliefs and filtered through their own biases and prejudices too (everyone has them even if they don't admit it). Get my drift? I'm not trying to start an argument, I'm just trying to get some clarity as I see what is posted by both Skip and Doug as "truth" (or at least "truth" as they see it based on a belief in God and a biblical standpoint and other convictions), but alot of people want to lable anything they disagree with as "hate." From my experience having worked with both these guys, they do a ton of their own research; and they're both very Godly men who have very strong convictions. Why do we lable people except to try to make them insignificant or control them by telling them that they're hateful, etc. but mostly we're trying to make them stop because it makes us uncomfortable because they don't mirror what you might believe? It's kinda like alcoholics hanging out with other alcolics because they mirror themselves and like to drink alot of brews! It's comfortable. Also, I notice Putney's lack of response to my comments about Buckley's behavior and actions speaks volumes on my hypocrisy meter. The Apostle Paul killed Christians before he was converted for heaven's sake. God promises if you seek Him, you will find Him. Give it a try, if you have the guts. You might just find out that God knows you intimately and loves you regardless of your sins....and yep, we all have them. So what? We're all only human and we all make mistakes and many of them over our entire lifetime. And Mike W. makes alot of sense too. Cheers!
WELL SAID!! ( Mr. Lambert did, however, respond to a "local" newspaper, the Laconia Daily Sun. He was also not "fired", he resigned. GOP Campaign Chair Calls NH Democratic Party Leader a Faggot, Gets Fired. November 16, 2009. Doug Lambert, a Glenn Beck wannabe and notorious local publicity hound, has finally gone into hiding. . . .and for good reason. Lambert, a co-chair for Republican Frank Guinta’s New Hampshire congressional campaign, was fired this weekend for calling the chair of the New Hampshire Democratic Party “a faggot” during Lambert’s weekly radio show, “Meet The New Press.” According to an article posted today on the Laconia Citizen web site, Lambert called Ray Buckley, the openly gay chair of the state Democratic Party, a “faggot” and then proceeded to further insult Buckley: After Lambert called Buckley a faggot, co-host Skip Murphy suggested they turn off the live Web feed but, instead, Lambert looked into the camera, made some dancelike movements that were intended to mimic the way gay men walk, and said, “Yeah, you faggot. That’s right, I said it and I meant it. You are a reprobate. How the people, the Democrats — I think of some of the gray-haired ladies from the old party — would stand behind you is beyond me. You are a disgrace to yourself, to humanity, to mankind and to your party. Other than that, happy birthday, Ray, and many more — not,” he said before the feed suddenly went dead. Lambert is known in the Laconia area for his intrepid efforts to gain personal publicity while shaming conservative Republicans into thinking he is championing their causes. A foe of any federal, state, or local tax that does not personally benefit him, Lambert has nevertheless squandered thousands of citizen tax dollars by filing frivolous law suits against government entities that rub him the wrong way. Lambert is also famously known for opposing Gilford’s effort to build a much-needed library. In a close vote, the project failed to gain voter approval. When donors stepped up to fund construction themselves, Lambert then took exception to the “hidden costs” of this free gift to the town. I can only assume that if Lambert actually read books he might have supported this venture. But as I said, if a project does not personally benefit him, he has no interest. His sense of community begins and ends at his front door. While it is unfortunate that Ray Buckley had to suffer a public insult from the homophobic Lambert, the silver lining in all this might be Lambert’s permanent exile from New Hampshire’s exclusive GOP club house. Following his slur, Republican notables fought over each other to be the first to condemn the outcast. Here’s a sampling of their comments: GOP Congressional candidate Frank Guinta: “This type of dialogue has no place in politics or in our country.” GOP spokesman Ryan Williams: “This is inappropriate and offensive. We strongly condemn the use of such vulgar language and personal attacks.” GOP State Rep. Francine Wendelboe: “I think he’s finally slit his own throat.” GOP U.S. Senate Candidate Ovide Lamontagne: “There is no place in politics or anywhere else for the type of language or sentiments expressed by Doug Lambert today … and I reject them categorically and unequivocally,” GOP State Senator Jeb Bradley: Lambert’s remarks were “harmful and unfortunate, completely inappropriate and hurtful.” He called on Lambert to apologize. For those of us who had forgotten, the Citizen article reminds us that racism and homophobia are like twin-headed monsters among GOP activists like Lambert: This is not the first time Lambert has made disparaging comments regarding sexual orientation or race on his blog. Following black comedienne Wanda Sykes’ comments at the annual White House Press Corps Dinner in May about former Vice-President Dick Cheney, Lambert wrote, “May she choke on a chicken bone or a watermelon rind. What ever gets the job done.” The biggest shock of all: Lambert declined the opportunity to talk to the local newspaper about this incident. I guess if you want to “Meet the New Press,” you’ll have to do it on Lambert’s show where he can control the conversation. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks to this blog, I've finally learned the difference between politically incorrect speech and hate speech. When a conservative calls someone "faggot" and a disgrace to the human race, and hopes they don't make it to their next birthday, that's politically incorrect speech. But, if a liberal dares to make similar comments to that speaker, they are engaging in hateful and abusive speech, at least according to this blog. I want to thank you all for clearing this up for me. I've finally learned it isn't the content of the speech, but rather the political inclination of the speaker that determines if hate or abuse is involved. You've finally made it crystal clear for me.
Alan, Your comments are RIGHT ON!! Doug and Skip really need to evaluate their life and try to make some sense out of it. Not only are they hurting themselves, but their family is beng hurt also. They are young and can recover if they try. Good luck to both of them!
Gee, John, I see you responded to Alan's post (some of which is completely inaccurate) but didn't bother to respond to my questions to you asking for clarification? Yeah, I already know why not.
Ray Buckley sucks. Ooops, do have to apologize now? The left wing nutjobs in this country are just so freaked out that they have Raymond Buckley as their spokesman and they know if the truth about his trip to Amsterdam ever got up to the big guys in the democrat party that they would be in trouble. john Sununu needs to say I will not get on stage with a person who just might be a pedophile. I do not know who this Doug Lambert guy is, but you have more friends than you will ever know. has anyone seen the ray buckley videos? Thank goodness steve vaillancourt gave those video tapes for the world to see. How about the fact that Buckley was caught in a website called gaysinnh.com with 15-16-17-18 year old boys dressing like transvestites and looking for gay sex? The video shows the facts, buckely acts like a complete moron on the videos when he's telling people hitler should have bombed the Hague, even Paul Hodes dumped that loser when he saw the video. And what about that creepy interview buckely gave when the investigation was over? 'I resigned and then went home and I laid on my couch and looked at the pictures of my nieces and nephews and worried about moving the pictures because I was worried about whether or not the police, if they came to my house, would think I was moving the pictures and trying to hide something, or I was afraid they might think I was a pervert because those CSI guys would see that dust had been moved?' What kind of innocent person thinks like that? And how about the fact that during the investigation into buckley's "penchant for pedophilia" the democratic headquarters in manchester and concord were broken into one week apart from each other and all the COMPUTERS were stolen and have never been found? Lambert's frustration with Buckely is that he got away with it, that everyone knows what a pervert Buckley is, and yet the democrats allow this scum to lead them in the state and at the same time Buckley gets to smear the good names of former governor sununu, and kelly ayotte and anyone else that is a republican? But that's okay? That's bullshit and everyone who sits back and watched that creepy man knows it. Frustration? Frustration? Have you left wing loonies lost your minds? 10% of the population is gay, and a large percentage don't think you people are normal. When the issue is voted on behind closed doors YOU LOSE, and to think even in Kalifornia. Yes, there are millions and millions of people that despise your way of life and there are thousands in NH that wish Buckley would just go away and YES Mr. Lambert spouted off his mind in public, and of course he is appologizing for his public comments, but you liberal, open minded people would never acpet that would you? And I have read the nasty hateful things you all just wrote and they are just a bad as what lambert said, NOW YOU PEOPLE APOLOGIZE TO HIM. ya right! And so what if he lost it for a moment, I have heard what you gays and liberals say about republicans when you don't think republicans are around. Knock off the fake outrage you losers. And granitegrok take down the comments please, let the scum have their say on blowhampshire, and let them leave this site alone. Wow, all i was going to say was buckley , you suck and man I just let it out, but I actually feel a little bit better. Thanks.
Yeah you Faggot. That's right I said it and I meant it.

That's a quite a statement to attempt to apologize for, not to mention the actions associated with that episode.

If you are truly contrite, then there are 3 parts to sincere apology:

1) Express regret

2) Repair the damage

3) Arrange things so that this will never happen again.

You've done the easiest of the 3. What is your plan for addressing the other 2?

So, Mutie, how about Buckley's plan to do all 3? Yeah, right, that ain't gonna happen is it? I'm sure all you great, "tolerant" liberal/democrats don't have a problem with Buckley....well, uhh...unless maybe it's your little boy he screws with, eh? Funny how you change your opinion when it's your own, huh? And "buckleysucks" I'm glad you feel better...even politically incorrect venting sometimes helps, ha, especially with so much truth mixed in. Plus you were pretty funny too...OMG...now I probably have to apologize to someone....everyone...yikes!
Doug's actions were disgracful and Un-PC at best, However Mr. Buckley has elevated himself to the level of "public figure" and still has not addressed some very serious allagations........and that utube video of him in amsterdam (supposably seeking sex with young boys) is nothing short inmoral and that it self should be enough for the NH Dems to reject him. He has not apologized for any of his hate filled attack on Stight people or republicans. My oppinion is that in this adult world people say horrible things (like Doug) and should be Man (or Woman....I want to be PC) enough to take responsibility for their actions (like Doug did). How ever Mr. Buckley wants to use the gay card to be exampt from taking responsibily for his hate filled attacks......by criticizing Ray you are a bigot becouse he is gay.......Mr. Buckley I don't criticize you becouse your Gay (I don't care to know anything about your sexual preference) I criticize you becouse you are Wrong on almost every issue! Patroits peacfully protesting government spending are not members of a "UNHINGED MOB"!
I was horrified to read what this person Doug wrote. I was even more horrified to see that he claims to be a Christian. That really grieves my heart. I grew up in a christian home and I am now a gay man, I do not understand such hate within a person. I thought Jesus taught love and said to love your neighbor as yourself. Sure everyone is entitled to their opinion and everyone is entitled to say what they want. But I cannot believe someone would carry such hate inside theirself, it seems like such hate would be like a cancer. The things this gentleman or this person said are hurtful. But I am more concerned for him and his family. I find it truly sad.
There are several comments in this thread saying things like, "Buckley's penchant for pedophilia" and saying he intended to have sex with underage boys. I've forwarded screenshots and documentation to Mr. Buckley of these outrageous statements presented as facts. He'll have the option to bring legal action against those who've posted these defamations of his character. Granitegrock, cesspool that it is, cannot be held liable for what is said by its posters, however, allowing these actionable falsehoods to remain is in extremely poor taste and further points to the conservative's predilection for anti-GLBT hatred and abuse which made it (in)famous. Those of you who've made these obnoxious and untrue statements: I hope you have competent legal council!

Well, I'm sure most people just can't wait to have all of Buckley's greatest hits shown in the court room showing the "defamatons of his character" you say. But, I'd say he's pretty much defamed his own character after watching them. He said, she said, yada, yada.
