Can you hear me now? – Obviously, WMUR has a deaf ear…

Ordinary people are fed up! Not only are they upset with the Progressive Democrats that are trying to turn this country into Europe West with respect to socialism, they have a beef with the media. While the media has been decrying their losing subscription / audience ratings and stock prices, they have a model of "reporting as usual". Little have they realized that this model has been complicit with their loss of mindshare – and a gain in rant share.

Multiple surveys have shown (the latest being a Pew Research one) that most Americans believe that the media is very liberal and very supportive of the Democrat agenda.

“The public’s assessment of the accuracy of news stories is now at its lowest level in more than two decades of Pew Research surveys, and Americans’ views of media bias and independence now match previous lows.”

“Just 29% of Americans say that news organizations generally get the facts straight, while 63% say that news stories are often inaccurate. In the initial survey in this series about the news media’s performance in 1985, 55% said news stories were accurate while 34% said they were inaccurate. That percentage had fallen sharply by the late 1990s and has remained low over the last decade.”

I have opined on this a number of times here on the ‘Grok that except for some very local papers, the main stream media has stopped reporting straight news and have proceeded to marketing opinion as news.

With the financial and marketshare deservedly achieved.

This past Saturday, there was a nationwide protest by folks (a la the TEA Party protests) called "Can you hear me now!" who wished to send a message to their local media – report the news! Many of these ordinary folks have merely passed off their family, friends, and neighbors’ complaints about the media but have now awakened to this bias as they are seeing it for themselves. With millions of Americans going to TEA Parties, they expected to see something in their nightly news about (in some cases, thousands) their attendance – or even a mention in the local paper.

Nada. Nein. Nothing. Null. Zip. Bupkis. Zero.

Now they know. Now they see it. Now, they have experienced it. And they ain’t happy, as time after time, for YEARS, they have seen liberal / radical protests slavered over by the media like Pavlov dogs at the ring of a bell. So, if the media will not come and report on conservative protest, let the conservative protest go to the media!

So – what did that get the folks here in NH? From an email I received from Leah (Newsbusters, GraniteGrok):

Yes, the called the cops on us! We were only outside their studio for roughly 4 minutes chanting. Then we walked back down to the corner of Granite and Canal and by the time we were there for 60 seconds the cops had arrived at the TV station!

Oh vay! Once again, the MSM doesn’t want to be held to account (accountability, there’s that word again!) for equal time, equal access, equal reporting. After all, these must be those TEA Party rabble rousers that so offend our liberal sensitivities and world view. How DARE they demonstrate against us!
