…ask them to prove it – show them the survey AND its "internals" – how was it done and the make up of the folks that were questioned.

It is looking like, as time allows our fellow Americans to see the contents of the bills (such as they exist), the process by which they are being written, how little our elected officials actually READ THE BILLS, and the sleight-of-hands going on with the costing (e.g., collect taxes for 3 years FIRST, then start the spending), and how the other health and welfare programs are fairing (go ahead – tell me WHICH program ISN’T heading in the crapper money-wise as the unfunded mandates DWARF our national GDP by multiples!).
You know what gets me about this whole thing? Every time I hear about the "national" healthcare costs, why does it sound like the government pays for it all, all the time? Yes, it does pay about 50% via Medicare, Medicaid, and Tri-care (Military) – but that is not all.
Why should I, as I have more disposable income, have the right to spend my money as I please? It does not impact what my neighbor pays, nor my relatives, and not my friends. If I decide to spend more on healthcare, it only means that I must spend less on something else; so be it.
After all, I live in a free country where I, as a sovereign free citizen, have that right – it IS my property, right?
While there are those on the Left that might say "but that’s not fair – you…
…have more to spend than I do or someone else does!" – that should NOT be their business. Nor, none of their business with what you spend either! And to those that say "well, what if the insurance company says you can’t" – they fail to realize that I have the freedom to get a new job with better insurance – or pay for something myself.
Yet, they remain exceedingly silent when…the truth of the bills is known that they will take that freedom away from me to purchase with my Private Property that which I wish to purchase with respect to a legal product. Instead, the Government, with all of its intended political machinations, will hold sway over what I can or cannot purchase. Further, those political winds are just that – we all can never plan past the current Administration.
Of all of the worst of the problem facing Government based Obamacare, that is the worst – we, the citizens will be not allowed to be in charge of our own healthcare. Instead, whoever is in power, in conjunction with an ever-increasing (and where there will be recourse to say – hey, I can do this myself, like these people):

Trust me – while the Dems keep crying crocodile tears that it’s all about the poor – it isn’t. It is, however, the ability of an ordinary citizen to make rational decisions for themselves and their families outside the grasp of power-hungry, greedy politicians.
You think our tax code is unmanageble and prone to political cronyism? You ain’t seen nothing yet. Remember:
Reform advocates say it is farfetched to assume people who can’t afford insurance — and might qualify for government subsidies — would opt to pay a penalty instead."They are assuming that people would game the system," said Denise de Percin, executive director of the Colorado Consumer Health Initiative.
"They are looking at the worst-case scenario. People aren’t stupid — they are not going to pay a penalty and get nothing," de Percin said.
Policy makers rarely mention that state mandates such as CR (community rating) and GI (guaranteed issue) can drive up prices and drive millions of people away from private insurance. New York has 51 mandates dictating coverage for a wide range of things including hormone replacement therapy (one of four states with this mandate) and drug abuse counseling (one of seven states). Each adds to the cost of insurance. William Congdon at the Brookings Institution and Michael New from the Heritage Foundation have separately done studies that suggest that 40 of the costliest state mandates in the country add as much as 20% to the cost of basic insurance coverage.
