MTNP Radio. Hold on tight. It's going to be a WILD RIDE!

 WW2 Fighter

B-24

UPDATE: Fixed with the help of Dirk, the Station Engineer!

PLEASE NOTE: We are experiencing technical problems with the live stream - our "phone" guests are being heard by our "over the air" listeners but not being delivered to our live stream

We apologize for the problem.

Taking off Saturday morning at 9 am!

As usual, this week's broadcast version of GraniteGrok and Now!Hampshire.com brings an array of items and guests for your consideration-- ALL STARTING AT 9AM! As always, thanks to the technical wizardry and analytical skills of Skip, if you are beyond the broadcast area of Newstalk 1490 WEMJ, simply click here for instructions on how to connect and listen on the Internet via livestream. (Podcasts here)

The Moultonborough Board of Selectmen met in non-public session on an unannounced date to discuss, plan and coordinate the process it would use to hire a new Police Chief.  This is illegal and violates RSA 91-A. Any and all discussion of how the Police Chief would be replaced, if and how a search/screening committee would be formed, and who would be appointed should have occurred in a public session. It did not. The Plaintiff does not dispute that the candidate interviews, review of resumes and other personnel documents are legal in non-public session under 91-A:3 II(b). The Plaintiff is contesting that the decision to appoint a committee (or accept volunteers), the membership of that committee and the process leading up to the interviews violates RSA 91-A as they were never held in public session.

Oops! And guess what? The sheriff that always seems to be at the nexus of RTK matters in Belknap County is involved in this one too! Doesn't he get it? Paul will give us the latest, as he gets ready to head to court in the near future.

In an outrageous and un-American attack on dissent aimed at Humana Inc., a major health insurer is being investigated for the crime of communicating its concerns about health care legislation to its enrollees.

Recently, Humana sent a mailing to seniors subscribed to the Medicare Advantage Program warning that "millions of seniors and disabled individuals could lose many ... important benefits and services that make Medicare advantage health plans so valuable." The letter urges enrollees to protest the proposed legislation to their members of Congress.

The response?

Congressional Democrats have issued their own official response to Humana, Inc. In short: "Shut up - or else!" Unhappy that an insurer disagrees with the impact of their legislative proposal, they have directed the Administration bureaucracy Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to go after Humana and any other insurance company that sends out letters that might alarm the elderly.

Ellen will lay out the details of this ugly chapter of the ongoing story of the Democrat majority in Congress, in cahoots with their President Obama.

Earlier this week, Kimball questioned Lynch's continued silence as his comrades in the Democrat Party plot new taxes, signaling a death knell for the NH Advantage, noting he

is concerned, as are many citizens of New Hampshire, that Gov. Lynch will once again go back on another pledge and allow members of the Democratic Party to impose either an  income tax, sales tax, or both.  "But more concerning is Gov. Lynch's silence as members of his party seriously consider more tax increases at a time when the people and the businesses of New Hampshire are struggling.  This is just another example that the foxes are in charge of the hen house." stated Mr. Kimball.

"Integrity seems to be something Gov. Lynch has forgotten.  When you give your word, you stand by it.  Gov. Lynch seems incapable of controlling members of his own party, which we all have witnessed this past year. The mere talk of new taxes will scare businesses away."

Yikes!

  • Our friend Karen Testerman joins us for a discussion on the looming passage of the insidious UN Treaty on the Child. She'll also fill us in on developments involving the latest proposal to merge CMC (Catholic Medical Center) with the Dartmouth-Hitchcock. What happens to the Catholic mission, and, more importantly, to LIFE?

  • And of course,=======>> Your calls are always encouraged at 603-527-1490.

WHEW! It all starts at 9AM EST Saturday. Tune in if you're in Central NH at NewsTalk 1490AM WEMJ or live on the 'Net here...
