Shaheen Tele-TownHall

by Skip

Last night, Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) held a Tele-TownHall as Doug talked about in his post.  While I was unable to listen in, TMEW did and recorded it for us. Click on the Gramaphone to listen:

Her initial reaction?  "What a politician – a snoozer.  The only "hard" question she took was one to the effect of "If you vote for Obamacare, are you going to put you and your family on it?".  TMEW said that she did nothing but equivocate and not answer the question.

Which seems to be standard fare for all these greedy Democrat politicians.  Greedy?  Greed sometimes has nothing to do with money (which is what most of us folks is greed – overarching love and lust for money).

The coin of the realm in politics for many is power – sheer, naked, unadulterated power – the ability to make other people do what you want.  But not necessarily, following suite.

Make no mistake – what Democrat politician has said that they WOULD put their families on Obamacare?  That’s right

THAT, my friends, is Power ->

The ability to force other people to do what they themselves would not.

I’ve only quickly engineered the audio (pulling out some clicks and shortening some long pauses) – I wonder if anyone asked her about Congress buying those 3 really expensive private corporate jets for themselves (you know, the kind that they excoriated CEOs for having?  Please know that they COULD have bought them for at least 60% off for some rather new vintage ones, all because Congress, through its political actions, distorted what was a great American export business.

I bet all those formerly employed aviation folks are just ducky about Obama and the Congressional / Senate Finance Committees (thank you, Barney Fwank (D-MA) )!

A letter I just sent to the Keene Sentinel newsrag.
On Monday 3 August at 6:10 PM I received a phone call. I answered ‘Hello’ and there was an awkward silence, such as I get from telemarketing phone calls. The next voice was that of Jeanne Shaheen inviting me to join a Telephone Town Hall about the Health Plan on Thursday 6 August at exactly 6:10PM. I prepared for a chance to talk with my senator about healthcare issues.
To talk facts I had downloaded onto my computer the newest 615 page Senate Bill and I already had the 1000+ page House version which is changing constantly.
I wanted to know what was going to happen to Medicare Advantage, and why nothing addresses Tort Reform/Medical Malpractice, and why if what they propose for the masses is so good that they are not part of it and have a separate plan for themselves. Why am I worth less than she is? Why not let me into the same plan she is into? Isn’t that fair? Why can we not have a Mandatory Insurance Co-op (like Massachusetts) but with added Medical Malpractice and Tort reform, to help reduce expense?
On Thursday 6 August a call came in at exactly 6:23PM. I said Hello and there was an empty space and then she says in a voice message “It appears that you are not available. I was hoping you could participate in my meeting ” BLAH BLAH BLAH
TOTAL SCAM – I was here, and ready. No answering machine on my end! Is she so afraid of educated Republicans, even on the telephone?
Disclaimer- I am not being reimbursed by any political party, or PAC, or action group, or anybody for my personal thoughts. I cannot recollect in my lifetime attending a political demonstration of any kind. I DO vote! Once, I voted for her. I guess everybody regrets something they did in the past. The good thing about elections is that you can vote folks OUT next time.
