Week of 8/1/09

Hour 1              Hour 2

Hour One:  Coming soon!

Doug talks about the Right To Know and "did they follow the Law?" legal action against the County concerning whether or not the Law was followed by Sheriff Wiggin, the County Commissioners, and the County Convention.  He addresses the items brought up by some Letters to the Editor, especially that by that of Neil Young (who, not knowing the details, gets things wrong yet again!).  Part 1

Jean Coutu from the Live Free or Die Rally comes on to describe the event (music!  food!  fireworks!  guns!  cannons! reenactments!) as well as the help of the ACLU in getting recalcitrant officials to stop trying to shut the event down.  Part 1   Part 2

Charlie Arlinghouse of the Josiah Bartlett Center for Public Policy comes on to talk about the ramifications of the State losing its legal money grab against the healthcare insurance JUA pot of money ("no, it doesn’t belong to the State – it is private property!") on the just passed NH budget.  What should Governor Lynch and the Legislature really do (ahem, try ditching the $100K wildflower budget)?  Part 1

Hour Two:  Coming soon!

Paul Mitchell (his blogsite here), a Republican candidate for the Illinois General Assembly, comes on to talk about the internal politics of the local County Republicans there.  It seems that the "one big tent" theory only applies to those that "meet the standard", especially when his opposition in the Primary is a long entrenched politico.  Part 1   Part 2

Manchester Mayor Frank Guinta, now a declared candidate in New Hampshire’s Congressional District  1 to become the peoples’ favorite and Republican nominee to unseat Democrat incumbent Carol Shea-Porter.  We talk about what he has done as Mayor and how he’d be handling the tremendous spending issues that Carol Shea-Porter is now voting for.  Part 1
