Carol Shea Porter to meet constituents finally... in the "welcoming" halls of the IRS!!!

Manchester Mayor Frank Guinta, seeking the GOP nod to take on Carol Shea Porter in next year's 1st Congressional District race, was, like everyone else I talked to since the news hit, unimpressed with her choice of venues for this Saturday's town hall meetings. From Team Guinta:

IRONIC: CAROL SHEA-PORTER DISCUSSES A MASSIVE NEW GOVERNMENT BUREAUCRACY IN THE HOME OF NATION’S WORST MASSIVE BUREAUCRACY

Congresswoman Chooses Home of IRS as Location to Discuss Peoples Concerns about Government Control of Healthcare

Manchester, NH – Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter, after intense public scrutiny, finally gave in to the citizens of New Hampshire and has reluctantly agreed to hold two Town Halls for citizens to discuss the Health Care take over program proposed in Washington.  Ironically, however, she chose to let people discuss their concerns of government control and bureaucracy, at the home of the least trusted bureaucracy in the country--the Internal Revenue Service Offices in Portsmouth.

“People’s greatest concerns in this health care debate are about government control, about increased taxes, about interruption of personal lives.  How do you alleviate those concerns by holding this discussion in the same location as the IRS,” questioned Frank Guinta, 1st District Congressional Candidate.  “I believe we need quality health care coverage that is affordable, portable and accessible. What we don’t need is a massive health care takeover that like the tax code is confusing, massive, and unintelligible."

Prior to Carol Shea-Porter’s announcement that she will be hosting this event, Frank Guinta noted he would be providing the opportunity to citizens to discuss Health Care at a Town Hall meeting at the Town Hall in Exeter, New Hampshire on August 31st.  Details of the event can be found at www.teamguinta.com, where you are welcome to sign up to attend, in advance.

Here is the exact venue info, as first reported at NHPoliiticalReport.com:

11a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Norris Cotton
Federal Building
275 Chestnut Street
Manchester, NH  03101

Doors open at 10. Since it is a federal building people need to go through security.

2 - 3 p.m.

Thomas J. McIntyre
Federal Building
80 Daniel Street
Portsmouth, NH  03801

Doors open at 1:00 p.m. Since it is a federal building people need to go through security.

100 people in each venue--nah, no chance for Che to stack the deck in her favor, right? And she says she's not afraid to face tough questions. Goodbye, Carol.
The only valid reason for holding them in the IRS buildings is so that they can start auditing you immediately if you ask "the wrong" question.
Does she think we are stupid? Does she think we can't figure out she's hiding from us? Does she think we can't figure out that she chose a 100 seat auditorium just so she didn't have to face the many faces who oppose this socialist agenda? Does she really think the voters of NH are that stupid? Now she can say she had a town hall. But we aren't that stupid Carol. I'll be working hard for Mayor Guinta!
