- We met Andrew Hemingway at the Tea Party gathering the other night at the 1875 Inn in Tilton where we had an opportunity to hear him speak. Running for the nomination for NH's 2nd CD US House seat, this young conservative is definitely worth a listen. What caught our attention is the fact that he is the chairman of the Bristol Municipal Budget Committee and, this year, under his chairmanship, have managed to actually CUT the budget in that town, thereby REDUCING taxes! We'll find out the secret, if any, and we'll discuss Thursday night's gathering.
- Guest co-host Lori Ingham lives in Franklin where, after a 20 year run, the City Council has voted to override the tax cap, despite a meeting this week where 23 people spoke against the action, and 2 vetoes by the outstanding Mayor Ken Merrifield. Lori was one of the speakers. We'll get her reaction to the actions of her representatives and find out what she thinks this will mean for the future.
