We cover the outrageous action of the organizers of Bristol, RI’s oldest (and most "patriotic") Fourth of July parade as they told the RI TEA Party group that they were never, ever try to march in their parade again.  Their offense?  Someone passing out the US Consitution and Declaration of Independence.  Fortunately, national outrage over them being singled out and the organizers have backed down.  Marina Peterson joins the gang to discuss this (and the reversal).   Part 1   Part 2

Socialism – the slow descent of America from the founding vision of valuing individual liberty and freedom to a society where elites in government are taking those freedoms away with an ever increasing encroaching into the every day lives of citizens via plethora of laws and regulations.  We touch upon the main themes of the book (fuller book review coming soon): declining morality, growing dependence on government, the debt.  The solution:  educating the citizenry (due to poor civics education) and activating them to stand up for the Founding Fathers wisdom of a limited government.  Skip notes – "I started reading the book sent by Fidelis – and then ‘lost’ it somewhere in the house.  It was so good, I simply went out and BOUGHT a copy – and glad I did!"        Listen here!
