New radio ad targets Shea Porter

Carol Shea Porter

Skip blogged about the taxpayer boondoggle that is the John Murtha Airport named for that Congressman of dubious quality and character a couple weeks back. Sadly, as if the fact that our taxdollars are subsidizing a little used airport for no other reason than it is in the powerful Democratic Congressman's district, we find out that our very own Representative Carol Shea Porter is in cahoots. The National Republican Congressional Campaign (NRCC) is taking to the airwaves today in the Granite State with a new radio ad to make sure everyone knows:

SFX: Airplanes landing one after the other.

ANNCR: What would you call an airport without airplanes?

SFX: Abrupt silence in midst of a landing

ANNCR: If you’re the Democrats in Washington, you’d call it a good place to waste money. That’s right. Carol Shea-Porter’s voted for Nancy Pelosi’s wasteful 787 billion dollar spending plan. Shea-Porter’s been voting with Pelosi 99% of the time. It's unbridled power with no accountability.

ABC News says 800,000 of Shea-Porter’s wasteful spending went to re-pave a runway at a Pennsylvania airport that only has three flights a day.

It's the Airport for no one.

The airport averages just 20 passengers a day…but one of those customers happens to be a powerful Democratic congressman, (John Murtha.)

Coincidence? You decide.

SFX: Engine power down

PA ANNCR: Call Carol Shea-Porter at 202-225-3121.

SFX: DING!

PA ANNCR: Tell her to stop wasting our money.

ANNCR: The National Republican Congressional Committee paid for, and is responsible for the content of, this advertising. Not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee. W-W-W DOT N-R-C-C DOT O-R-G.
